Why the author of this post opted to ignore the name of Brazils Roberto Carlos?

The goalkeeper didn't even move because it was a trajectory no one could have ever imagined! Physicists published a paper in the New Journal of Physics proving it wasn't a fluke. They concluded that if you kick a ball hard enough with that exact spin from that distance, the aerodynamic lift will create a perfect spiral before hitting the net. ⚽️ 👇

That’s when the goalkeeper realized -> we are living in “the Matrix” 😂

This is Roberto Carlos’ legendary free kick against France in the 1997 Tournoi de France (a friendly tournament ahead of the 1998 World Cup).

It’s just Mikael Nilsson from whish…

😂😂😂

It has a name! Roberto Carlos' S shaped free kick! It deserves a book and its own simulation models not just articles!

The goalie was flabbergasted lol.

It’s called THE MAGNUS EFFECT

One Roberto Carlos

Inspirado .

I always have thought: what if the ball has a navigation sistem incorporated with sensors and remote control..... NONSENSES😂

Why do we not see this anymore

Left everyone shocked

30 yards 40 at least 🤪

It's a slice. In golf it's used to go around trees back into the fairway.

Fabian Barthez just saw the net shaking

E' come lo swing del golf Va a destra e la palla va a sinistra

Ah Carlos! No one like him

It was ,mind at that time they used the best football ever made in my humble

I never understand why the goalies don't move. Like even if you think it's wide why not at least move that way?

Present day Brazil is doing pray like a gringo , play like a gringo.

Le ballon il a changé de trajectoire, on est carrément dans Olive et Tom là !😂

الركلة في طرف الكرة من اليمين وبقوه فنان

Robert Carlos kick. Registered in the books.

Cú sút phạt thần sầu với quỹ đạo cong khó tin đến mức các nhà vật lý cũng phải tốn bao giấy mực để nghiên cứu và giải mã.

Brilliant

@andyburnham - `man in pub’

Once in a liftime goal?

The announcer was dead on accurate. There still is not a better free kick than this one.

He didn't kick it. He commanded nature to put the ball inside the goal.

bend it like carlos

One of the most beautiful strikes in football history
