The actual story is that 307 pubs closed in the first 6 months of this year Give us a clue which Governent oversaw that and provided zero support to the industry We have as long as it takes......

It is a bit rich to be moaning about closures under the Labour Party who have been in government for about three months, compared to the Conservative party who were in power for 14 years. These closures are likely as a result of Conservative based policies that have not yet been reversed or changed by the current government.

338 pubs will have closed since Emma Reynolds for Wycombe 🌹 failed to answer this question about rural pubs and hospitality businesses struggling with Labour’s high taxes and rates. I asked this FIVE months ago because it was clear that rural and coastal pubs and businesses are struggling under Labour’s record taxes and costs. Why has it taken Labour so long to realise the damage done by their high taxes? If Labour really cared about rural communities, they will match the Conservatives’ plan to SCRAP business rates for our high streets and stop taxing local businesses out of existence. To do this, they will have to cut welfare spending. But we know Labour MPs are only interested in raising taxes to pay benefits to others.
