lol! It came out several years later of course, but yes Unreal 1 (both the single and multiplayer) is amazing!

History is littered with things that were 'better' that no one has ever heard of. It just depends on what subjective criteria you are scoring on.
I remember bringing my PC over to my cousin's house for a LAN party waaaaay back in 1999 to play this. Someone had a Cam .avi copy of "the Phantom Menace" and a DVD Quality copy of "The Devil's Advocate". Wild times!
