This generation is toast.

Not that I condone it, but many individuals like this will simply not be having children, so it's not completely bad. Right?

All of these people belong in an insane asylum

These people are beyond fixing and being useful, productive members of society.

Gen X has approximately 8 or so years of patience left and then suddenly the buy rate on used bulldozers is going to go through the roof.

Half those people didn't seem sure of the answer they gave. It is all pretend and in their heads. That's fine, they can do/act however they want. What isn't fine is when they force their delusion on others.

I'd like to drop these people off in the middle of a Somali desert, let them find their way back, and redo these interviews.

We can't let the media deceive us: this is an extremely small percentage of the population. They do not represent some kind of huge swath of people. This is fringe, at best.
