This gentleman has single-handedly earned more laurels for this effort from the Ranchi crowd than anyone else - and he didn’t play the game. The song embodied the Test for those who know it.

Casting light upon the common ground of opposing fans is a hugely gratifying part of being the trumpeter. Unconditional support 4 our team, & creating a fun atmosphere ev’rywhere we go is what @TheBarmyArmy is all about 😁

Hi Prakash. Thank you for the kind words. It’s such a beautiful melody. It’s my mother-in-law’s favourite song of all time so it’s special to me.

His name is Simon, & he’s the official trumpeter of the Barmy Army. He knows the Bollywood tunes as he’s married to a Punjabi. Great Guy to meet!

Guy deserves an OBE at least for fostering Indo-UK relations, hugely popular wherever he went

This video is not from Ranchi, it is from Rajkot and recorded by me. You should have asked for permission before using this video.

(Big fan of your insightful commentary btw)

Sadly Indians not allowed to carry their bags in the stadium thanks to @BCCI & @MumbaiCricAssoc , forget about 🎺 or anything else. Personal experience during current CWC #ENGvsSA game, even "Kada" was removed from my hand!!

@CricCrazyNIKS This is not ranchi...it was of vizag.....

@CricCrazyNIKS This guy played this song in Rajkot not in ranchi
