This gentleman makes the best statement yet & too much common sense, concerning the Austin Metcalf/Karmelo Anthony encounter. It’s not about race. "I look at this situation through the lens of a father.....l cannot imagine taking my son to a soccer game or a basketball game & the end... show more

This gentleman is EXACTLY over the target! The ONLY reason that this is getting press is because it furthers the evilness of race baiting. All other times, if blacks are killed, let's say in Chicago for instance, it's just business as usual and no one says anything. Kudos to this father for speaking truth!!

Perfectly stated

Isn't it interesting that a simple rational post stating what should be a universal truth. His comments are now looked at as a bold challenge to the accepted narrative. We are supposed to accept the irrational view of what is actually wrong from beginning to end.

His video is the most rational I’ve seen yet

The absolute truth. Well Said 💯 How they twist it and people believe it is just ridiculous. I can’t even imagine the pain his family are going through 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

The best I’ve seen so far

I hear the pain and anger in that statement and as a father myself, I feel that deeply. No parent should ever have to bury their child after something as avoidable as a school event or a sports meet. But here’s where we have to be careful…grief can’t turn into tunnel vision. You’re framing it like it was just a “scuffle”…teenage boy stuff. But that minimizes the fear, the escalation, and the reality that a confrontation, even a push or shove, can spiral fast especially in today’s world where kids are already on edge, carrying trauma, and too many of them feel like no one’s going to protect them. If we’re going to look at this through the lens of a father, let’s look at both kids. One is dead. The other may have felt threatened or outnumbered. Was it self-m defense? I don’t know. Was it premeditated? I don’t know that either. But I do know this…teenage boys today are not growing up in the same world we did. They’re not learning how to de escalate. They’re scared. They’re angry. And some of them are bringing weapons because they think no adult has their back. The tragedy isn’t just in the death. It’s in how many ways this could’ve been prevented from better supervision, to conflict resolution, to kids not feeling like they have to defend themselves with deadly force. So no, I’m not going to justify a stabbing. But I’m not going to act like “boys being boys” explains it all either. We owe both families more honesty than that.

Agreed. It’s just senseless

Where are all the videos???? you can't tell me, at a high school track meet where there are hundreds of teenagers, not one single person had out their phone recording the altercation!?!?!?

Supposedly they have some

He’s a wise & gentle man & we need many more like him to speak out!

100% my friend

complete bullshit Karmelo Anthony murdered Austin Metcalf because he was white. "I'm not gonna let this white boy put his hands on me" He could have just punched him in the face. He went at him like that out of hate.

He’s correct, back in the days we settled stuff with our fists if it came to that. Never did I think of pulling a knife, gun or any deadly weapon on anyone, which back then I carried in my truck. It’s getting insane.🙏🏻

Right. Always gotta be someone to ruin it for everyone.

Yep!!!

Love this guys points. We need more people like him please.

He's absolutely right black people would be screaming up and down the streets probably looting and commenting more crimes if the roles were reversed. This was a senseless crime that took someones life over nothing, absolutely nothing. There wasn't even an argument just words.

Agreed

@Nuked4Every1 Indeed. Well said. Putting everything else aside here just to make a point but when did it become ok to carry a weapon of any type on school property? Karmelo is wrong about everything. Period b

It's a travesty for both kids. Kids being exploited for politics! Sad!

I agree but more so a tragedy for Austin

Absolutely!

@lakemonstercl1 This man is wise beyond his years. Can we get him elected for something?

You are absolutely RIGHT!

@anarcho7 Yup the whole dead thing is what makes it murder, we used to all know that

Exactly!! No reason for a knife, no justification for murdering a child!!

Correct- no way shape or form is it justified

He's spittin' facts.

My heart breaks for both families. This is an American tragedy where we all need to do better.

I would agree w/ that but we saw an adult full man get off for killin an unarmed black teen? After stalking him, ignoring a lawful order, he still got off on self defense. Americas self defense criteria is ridiculous, but if we gonna allow egregious self defense it go both ways

Best take so far.100%dead on

@TomTom32526190 That's because our generation was not raised to see life that way! Obummer came along, commandeered the media at some point, and bam! Everyone's racist. It's more nuanced than that, but we let them mess us up.

@deplorable4ever

My opinion is if you bring a weapon to an event (whatever the event is). You are intending to use it. I think that is why he sat in the wrong tent on purpose. The MURDERER knew exactly what he was about to do. He thought by being black he will get off with it. DEATH PENALTY ONLY

You are 100% correct thank you sir for sharing that.

Agreed.
