PowerBooks were slow, hot and noisy, and lasted about 3 hours. I owned one. I’m all for battery replacement being available to user, but this isn’t backward movement she is trying to present. Mac laptops are now miles ahead from what they used to be in almost every way.

I still have my black 2007 macbook and it probably just needs a new battery to work again. But honestly, I have the 2021 M1 Max and I've been struggling with wanting to buy the latest but it hasn't given me any reason. No battery replacement needed, nothing. I just have had it for 5 years.
