There’s no universe where Doug Ford “didn’t know” about the China EV tariff deal. Not one. Mark Carney doesn’t negotiate trade in a vacuum. Ontario is ground zero for Canada’s auto sector. EVs, tariffs, supply chains that’s Ford’s backyard. If this deal moved forward, it had provincial sign-off. At minimum: awareness. More likely: approval. So let’s stop pretending Doug Ford was “left out.” He wasn’t sidelined. He wasn’t blindsided. He stamped it and now he’s pretending he didn’t. Doug Ford is lying and grandstanding.

Driving through Aurora, Colorado today reminded me of the times I lived in South America on and off for around 6 years. Often the people that walk around selling in or cleaning windows in traffic are aggressive, forceful, and pose as threats to passengers. First of all we have windshield wipers!! Secondly we don't need people looking through our windows to see what they can find coercing people for all the spare cash they have. In Latin America this is normal everywhere. Random people charging you for parking in public space, to sit down to eat at a restaurant they send in their kids to guilt you, or like this at a stop light, to be safe we have to pay them? This behavior isn't a favor or honest work, its a "pay me not to rob you," kind of deal.
