This is why we typically pull the dipstick when adding oil with a regular funnel. It allows air to escape and oil to flow freely through the funnel.

With it being a Nissan that he is pouring the oil in, he will have to repeat this process again tomorrow, when the oil is burnt off.

Thats cool but it doesn’t have to be that complicated, a regular funnel with a straw taped to the inside that goes down and extends past the hole of the funnel will work just as well. The air just needs somewhere to escape so that it doesn’t bubble up through the oil.

Mobil 1 needs to drop by and make him an offer he can't refuse. I'd pay $15 - $20 for it. Surely they can mass produce it for less than $2. Last PoS funnel I bought was $8.99, so . . . Screw in (already exist), wide mouth, fast throughput. What's not to like?

Sweet funnel! Even added that square section to hold the square jug for a few minutes so EVERY drop of expensive oil drips out, BRILLIANT!🤌 The ONLY place to buy oil cheaply is Walmart, must get the 5 quart jugs! I just did 2 oil changes with Mobil 1, wish I had his funnel!!

There are a good number of similar options on Makerworld and Printables and whatnot. Most use a breather that goes all the way to the top of funnel edge. They work insanely well. Combined with a measured jug for your needed amount of oil and it completely upends how easy, fast and clean the refill process is.
