I kind of love this game conceptually, like its a parkour style platformer where the character you play as does things outside of your control based on the situations you put them in. its kind of like Deltarunes narrative around Kris and the Soul but as a platformer mechanic.

I like how Lester grows more confident the more you progress in the game

I mean, it's in the title. He does gain confidence to overcome his fears later in the game. It's one of those quirky games that kinda stands out because of the mechanics. Unfortunately, the AVGN gave this game a bad reputation because he couldn't get past the early levels.

this the kind of stuff you'd see on the amiga and the critics would laud it as "the greatest platformer money can buy" and "a spritual succesor to prince of persia" and then the company who made the game would be called "googolbit studios" or something like that (now defunct)

I like the concept of Lester the Unlikely quite a bit, you start out as a doofus but you get stronger as the game progresses. I think the problem is it didn't go far enough. Like Lester should have been a god by the end of the game.

avgn took a dump on it but i saw someone else play it (assumabley more competent) and it doesn't seem as bad as it looks. But I need to try it for myself.
