Nissan isn't the only one using the CVT transmission. The CVT transmission is a total piece of shit.

Idk. We have a 2017 murano cvt of course. We had the fluid changed at 50. 100 150 and we have had no issues. It is at 170 something now

My wife’s versa transmission went out on the freeway. The cost to repair exceeded the cars value. We traded it in and 2 months later got a recall for it, but weren’t eligible because we sold it lol. I’ll never get Nissan ever again. Shit company.

In general, CVT transmissions are just bad. Not just Nissan transmissions. I had a Honda Accord with a CVT, it was the only thing that broken with the car. My brother had a Toyota Camry & it’s CVT crapped out.

The 6 speed manual Nissan Patrol gearbox is next to bullet proof.

He didn't explain why the belts are bad. I can imagine they break or stretch, but he didn't say that.
