Over the last 2 years, my dad has spent almost 100 days in the hospital due to complications from end stage kidney disease. Jumbo has been battling health issues for a few weeks. He had a big series of tests this morning and it confirmed what I sadly knew in my own gut already. Jumbo has a week or 2 to live at most. Very late stage kidney failure. The finality of It is like a punch to the stomach. I rescued him from the streets 18 months ago. The damage had been done to him from neglect over the years. His health is going down so fast I wanted to take a short walk with him in the sun. I’m hoping it won’t be our last just yet but the steps were not easy. 🥲

He did it! Dear little Hobo can walk! When he was just 3 weeks old this poor baby was bitten so hard and deeply by a dog that one tooth punctured his back almost through to his stomach. This bite crushed Hobo's thigh bone so completely that it was invisible to x-ray - his leg just appeared to end at his knee. But here he is, no longer dragging that leg behind him, but actually placing it! (it's his right, rear leg) I'm beside myself with happiness! Obviously his walk is still awkward and the leg is still mending, and has a long way to go yet. But just look at this little kid - he is able to walk, to poo without falling over (and me having to clean him up), and to eat for himself, whenever he is hungry. He improves day by day. Below you can see his amazing progress over 3 days.

Doctors have now advised that he undergo specialized tests to help identify the root cause of his condition, but he currently has no funds left. Update on Jaxson Crull! Crull is starting a job with ONEOK as a Systems analyst at the end of the month. He knew after this season he was going to hang it up, and left OSU very happy with his time as a Cowboy. Although he wasn’t an every day guy at times, he loved helping find a way for the team to win. But, just because his playing days are over doesn't mean his connection to the program will be any less. Not Close! He's gonna remain connected to the program by coming back to visit a lot and seeing the guys still on the team. Ian was his roommate and those two were super close. Crull made it very clear that he thinks it's great for the team to have Ian and Aidan back because they were two of the biggest leaders on the team last year. It does not matter what walk of life Crull partakes in, he will ALWAYS rise to the top. Whoever gets him, in whatever walk of life, is getting total quality. #GoPokes #OkState
