Journal entry; September 10, 2025: 6:20 PM Raptured Out of Babylon’s Circus I’ve finally learned what Christ meant when He said, “Be in the world but not of the world” (John 17:14–16). The world is a carnival of egos, flashing lights, women flaunting their hollow crowns of false goddesshood, men competing like roosters in a pit for validation that rots before it ripens. I used to chase it, feed it, even bleed for it. But now, I’ve pulled the plug. My peace is not for sale, my ease of mind cannot be repossessed by society’s banks, and my soul won’t swipe left or right for affection. In a way, I’ve already been raptured, not in the sense of disappearing into the sky with a halo, but snatched out of the gravitational pull of Babylon’s circus. The apostle Paul said, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things” (Colossians 3:2), and for once, I get it. I’ve stopped living for women’s egos, the corporate ego, the political ego, the digital ego, all of them are just papier-mâché masks over empty skulls. It’s almost funny, sarcastically tragic, that the world keeps begging me to play along with its ideologies, its propaganda, its hollow games. But I’m standing on the other side of the glass now. While they claw for power, I chose simplicity. While they drown in noise, I chose silence. And while they are still waiting for some trumpet blast to yank them from chaos, I quietly stepped out the back door of the theater and found God waiting in the calm night air. That’s my rapture.
