Democrats Prioritized Global Goals Over Americans No other foreign governments or international pledges should shape America’s refugee policies. Americans did not vote for this system of expanded admissions, taxpayer funding, and census effects that dilute citizen representation Under Biden and Democrats, policies expanded pathways for people from other countries while open-border enforcement continued. This put non-citizens ahead of American citizens Global pledges led to more admissions, which used tax dollars, increased census counts, shifted political power, and helped block stronger border security bills Global Campaign to End Statelessness From 2014–2024, the UN refugee agency (UNHCR) ran the #IBelong campaign to end “statelessness” by changing laws and granting citizenship so more people get a nationality. UNHCR says over 600,000 people gained a nationality through this effort In 2024, it became the Global Alliance to End Statelessness (150+ members). The goal is a world where everyone has a nationality In December 2023, the Biden State Department pledged the U.S. would join the Alliance and help count stateless people in official statistics. At the same time, the U.S. raised its refugee ceiling (up to 125,000 a year) and launched the Resettlement Diplomacy Network (with Australia, Canada, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, Germany, Brazil, and the EU) to expand resettlement and “share the burden.” Senate Democrats introduced the Stateless Protection Act of 2022 (S.5330) and reintroduced a similar version in 2024 (S.3987) ✅Created a new “Stateless Protected Status” for people in the U.S. who have no citizenship from any country. ✅Blocked deportation and detention. ✅Allowed work and travel. ✅Opened a path to a green card (lawful permanent residence) and eventual U.S. citizenship In the 2022 bill, adjustment to a green card was mandatory (“shall”), and naturalization was allowed after just 3 years as a permanent resident. The 2024 bill made the green-card step more discretionary (“may”) but still described the same overall path ✅Included changes to U.S. citizenship law to prevent future statelessness. Both bills died in committee and never became law. Advocacy groups have linked them to global efforts, though the bills themselves do not mention the Global Alliance How the Money Flows Congress still funded the system through spending bills (including H.R. 2882 and H.R. 4366). Billions went to: ✅Migration and Refugee Assistance ✅The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) ✅NGOs such as the International Rescue Committee, Catholic Charities, HIAS, and others receive taxpayer money for housing, jobs, medical care, and casework. Key resettlement agencies involved: ✅Church World Service ✅Ethiopian Community Development Council ✅Episcopal Migration Ministries ✅HIAS ✅International Rescue Committee ✅U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants ✅Global Refuge ✅U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops ✅World Relief ✅Bethany Christian Services Census Impact The U.S. census counts non-citizens for House seats and federal funding. Higher refugee and parole admissions increase the total population counted. High-migration states can gain extra House seats and more federal money. Citizen votes get diluted The Full Picture: How It Connects ✅Global level — UNHCR campaigns and the Global Alliance push for nationality for everyone and more resettlement worldwide. ✅U.S. involvement — Biden pledged support and created the Resettlement Diplomacy Network to expand admissions and coordinate with other countries. ✅Money — Congress funds the programs; NGOs get paid to provide services. ✅More arrivals — Higher refugee ceilings, parole programs, and appointments bring more people. ✅Census impact — Non-citizens are counted, which can shift political power and funding. ✅Senate roadblock — Rules and leadership control make it hard to fully debate or pass America First reforms while the funding continues.

If there is anyone from this administration that has disappointed me, it was you. You should have made them fire you.
