I worked on overhead cranes for a couple of years and I had a new guy sat and cried in a lift ~110 feet in the air. I felt bad. Did all the work, totally covered for him. He got used to it eventually.

My first time in a lift was up the side of a Stadium, at first was a bit "Woah" but after awhile you enjoy the breeze and peace. Guy needs to man up!
