Major Food Group founder Jeff Zalaznick quit his job in investment banking to work an entry level job in a hotel. It was the best decision of his life: “Tell him that I'm here, that I'm an investment banker at JP Morgan, and that I will take any job in this hotel that he will give me. I sat there waiting. The woman thinks I'm crazy. Finally he says "Sure I'll see him.” And so I go into the office and he says “Can I have your resume?” I said "I don't have a resume.” He said "What do you mean you don't have a resume?” I said "Listen I'm just going to lay this out on the table. I'm an investment banker at JP Morgan and you must know what you have to go through to study and train, to even get a job like that. And I have a feeling that this is the first time that a JP Morgan investment banker has ever walked through your doors and said they will take any job in your hotel because I want to learn this business.” “I'm willing to come here and take whatever pay cut I need to because I want to get in the door.” He thinks I'm out of my f*cking mind. I get up and I leave and I remember walking back to work. So I got to very quickly learn how to run a hotel at the highest level and the food and beverage outlets that were there that I got a chance to work in.”

This is the stuff you love to see. An officer was called out to a location because people saw a man sleeping in his car and assumed he must be drunk or up to no good. The officer arrived through actually talking with the man to see what's going on, he saw what this guy has going on. The guys wife lost her job so he has been pulling double shifts to keep the bills paid just pulled over for a bit to catch a nap. Seeing that the guy is just trying to do some good, he got him a coffee to help pep him up so he can fully function for what sounds like a busy day. Great job by this officer for seeing what was going on and going above and beyond.

I'm probably the highest picked selected ever that didn't enter with an agent. When I was evaluating, I went through the whole process and sat with a bunch of people, and what they was offering I ain't really need. It was kind of already slotted, so I leaned on the union a lot more” “A lot of the agents came and was like, ‘Yeah, we'll move you to L.A. We'll get you a trainer, put some money in your pocket,’ and I was like, ‘For what? Do I gotta give the money back?’ They was like, ‘Nah, but standard agent fee is 4%.’ I'm starting to do the math, and a house, car, and all that, whatever he was offering, is a lot less than what 4% would have been” “Long story short, the math wasn't mathing for me. I ended up being the third pick. I think because I came in like that, a lot of people, I think it was the agents, they tried to slander my name a little bit, put it in the media that he's too this, he's too that. We all pay like $10,000 out of our salary that goes to hiring lawyers, hiring staff, CEO, everything that you need to lead a company that works for us. They give referrals for financial advisors. All type of stuff. Foundation wise, health insurance, whatever you need. They have a liaison that's paid to make sure that you get it done. These two young entrepreneurs decided to start a power washing business, they were excited to stay working on this man’s house. They even threw in a few free services. A few hours into the service when they aren’t even done yet. They talk to the old man about the job, he starts to complain about the unsatisfactory job even though they have explained that they weren’t finished yet. Now he’s refusing to pay for the whole job, was the man being unreasonable at this point, or were the boys not doing a good job. Should they just pack it up and leave instead of hoping he likes the end result?

You going to try to sue me if I slap the sh*t out of you. But you just came at me personally though? So when I see you if I react to you coming at me personally being physical with you then you going to run and call the cops. He going to call the cops and you going to jail straight up. Because he going to press chargers. This couple is working together delivering groceries. The man seems upset that there is a lot to deliver and a maybe a walk up the driveway from the street. He appears to be waiting for someone to come outside and help. Kind of lightly tosses the cake on the top step. As the woman is trying to take everything up to the top step he tells her no “make ‘em come down here…there’s a man in the damn house, probably watching, he could of came and helped us.” 🤯 Delivering groceries is supposed to be to the front door, that’s it. That’s the job you signed up for. No telling what is going on with the person who ordered them and it doesn’t matter. It’s not the customer’s job to come outside and help unload and deliver the groceries that they just paid for to be delivered. Several items, two people and five steps. The struggle is real apparently. 😳 Don’t pick a delivery job and then get mad when you have to deliver. 💯 Have you ever pre-tipped a grocery delivery and then had to go back in and adjust? Would you tip this couple for their delivery?
