I know you guys aren’t serious cause people out here calling a Jazmine Sullivan song trash. Please don’t even talk to me about RNB if you think ANY Jazmine Sullivan song is trash.

2022/23

So it is alive which is good but from his list I have a few new artist to check out…Which tells me that what’s really good isn’t being promoted properly…

15) Tell Your Friends ~Abel 16) Love on the Brain ~Rihanna 17) When I’m in Your Arms ~Cleo 18) Floods ~Lucky Daye 19) John Redcorn ~SiR 20) Need You ~Emanuel 21) Doctor, My Eyes ~Khamari 22) Mean Mug ~Ari 23) Marking My Time ~Elmeine 24) WHY ~Sasha Keable 25) DON’T LEAVE ~Giveon

There are some excellent songs on this list but it proves R&B has fallen off. It’s a reason every R&B party plays mainly 90s and 2000s R&B.

Because majority R&B parties are for 30+ year olds to get nostalgia bombed all night lmao

@blknsexy120 Does fell off mean that there wasn’t any good r&b music, or that there hasn’t been any legitimate long lasting hits? Cause there has ALWAYS been great r&b music on the market, just no actual hits

@blknsexy120 What’s a hit, really? Because there are R&B songs with 100–300 million streams that never touched the charts. Yet their streams go up every year. Why? Because they’re hits. Billboard isn’t the only definition anymore.

“Damage” is literally the only song that has captured popular culture. Idk maybe I’m misunderstanding the assignment, but the post asked for songs that prove r&b hasn’t fallen off. Isn’t part of proving that showing songs that people actually know?

No, it’s about highlighting songs with real quality, songs that prove artists can still sing, bridges still exist, and R&B is very much alive and well.

@Info1sFree Sorry. You're wrong. Fell off has a meaning. Can people still play guitar? Yes. Is rock as prominent as it was in the 90s and before? No. The same with R&B. Some of the biggest acts of the 90s were R&B. Same with the 70s and 60s. From the 2000s - it has declined

@Info1sFree Next time I will say ‘fell off in quality’ problem solved have a nice Tuesday!

This was a solid 10. Some I completely forgot about, some I love and some new stuff I just added to my playlist. Good work

Bryson Tiller -Don’t Raveena - If only (colors) Amaria - Day by day (colors) Jorja Smith - Blue lights Joyce Wrice - So so sick Devin Morrison ft J. Wrice - With U Jasmine Barry - If the love goes Rayana jay - Breakfast in bed SZA - Tender (Julia) Ojerime - Often enough

Props to him for including my guy Mac Ayres.

List trash

Nothing but real music right there ladies and gents…

Dude just listed the songs he liked . A lot of these songs don’t have the wow factor to save the genre

We always say 90’s but 70’s and 80’s blueprints I think from those from that era until mid 00’s each year had so many hits.

🤌🏾😮💨

Haven’t even touched Lucky Daye, Odeal, Kiana Lede, Sasha Keable, Arin Ray, bruhh. Top genre!

Enchantée Julia - Santolines Enchantée Julia - Leitmotiv Enchantée Julia - Ballades Enchantée Julia - Dunes Enchantée Julia - Longo Maï Enchantée Julia - Cinema Solange - Losing you SZA - Snooze H.E.R - Carried away

That Mac Ayres album is an absolute no skip, play on repeat vibe......

ima spin back and do a list

Tyrese whole album

Once again, folks are going by what terrestrial radio is giving them, instead of what’s right in front of them. R&B didn’t fall off, it got all but pushed off of regular rotation. All of these jams are bangers that get heard on other stations and platforms.

No Silk Sonic is criminal !

No Alex Isley is insane

“Lake By The Ocean” had me in a musical chokehold 🫠🫠 let me go listen to it right now!!

My boy putting me on 📝🤓

"These arms are mine" chiiiile

Did that!🙌🏾

It’s not my vibe but he did well putting this together ⭐️

Had me at let it burn was just bumping that whole jazmine Sullivan album

Terrible list

🔥🔥🔥

That Luke James album was so good

Schmoove

SHOW ME IS MY SHIT!!!!!
