Tbh... if someone showed me this video and said it was Texas, I probably wouldn't believe them. This looks like something you'd find tucked away in the Louisiana backwoods. Towering cypress trees. Spanish moss hanging from the branches. Waterways that seem to go on forever. But this is actually Caddo Lake, one of the most unique places in the entire state. Sitting right on the Texas–Louisiana border, it's a shared lake between the two states, which probably explains why it feels so different from what most people picture when they think of Texas. The craziest part is that most Texans will never see it in person. While everyone is headed to the beaches, the Hill Country, or the mountains of West Texas, this hidden corner of East Texas quietly sits there looking like a place time forgot.
