This has been playing on my mind lately… and I’m curious if anyone else feels the same? Friendships in my 30s feel so different to how they did in my 20s. It’s more… Yoga, walk and meaningful conversation instead of trying to shout over each other in a packed... restaurant. Prioritising nights in with family over back to back plans (you’d be lucky to get me out past 7pm these days lol)🫠. Some friendships just didn’t come with me into my 30s. And that used to make me feel SO guilty, but now… I’ve made peace with it. Friendship in your 30s isn’t about being in touch 24/7, it’s about feeling safe, seen, and supported. Basically - if it’s not deep, I’m not interested 🫡 Curious… has anyone else felt this in their 30s too? Or had the total opposite experience? Would love to know xshow more

💎 what are your thoughts about being in your 30s? 🐱 hmm actually I just talked abt a lot of other thoughts earlier, but I feel that whether it’s 30 or 20, there hasn’t really been a big change in my mindset.. I don’t really know why, but it feels like I’m kind of still stuck at 20 🐱 I don’t feel a particularly big difference overall in how I experience things, instead I feel like I go through even more everyday than before, and I’ve become more expressive too.. like I’m getting more and more small sudden inspirations that come up on set while filming now, I think that’s smtg I’m really lucky abt 🐱 one thing I’ve always felt lucky abt is that I get to do a job I truly love.. and while doing this work, I’ve always had so many people supporting me, so I really feel thankful to have been this fortunate

260520 weverse live 🌟🔴 #에스쿱스 #SCOUPS scoups was sharing how he felt lately about losing weight in his 30s as compared to before 🥺 🍒 but do you know what i’m feeling these days? i’m on a diet, i do weight training 5 times a week, and i do 20~30 mins of cardio on days that i do weight training. but seriously, since i’m past my 30s, it seems like the weight doesn’t come off easily. and definitely, since i’m not trying to lose weight by skipping meals like i did in the past, i feel it even more - the way it doesn’t come off very quickly. so that’s probably why it kind of feels like that.

If you’re in your 20s, I’m gonna tell you the truth that nobody told me. I’m in my 30s now, and I wish someone had told me that your 20s actually suck. Everybody TELLS you this is the best time in your life. But when you’re in it, it feels the opposite of that. You have more stamina than you’ll EVER have again and you're hot, but... • You’re kind of broke. • You can’t figure out what you want to “do” with your life • You feel lost, you work nonstop, you have a miserable job • You’re single, dating, crazy emotions • You drink more than you should But here’s the thing: Everybody’s been there. It’s totally normal. And honestly, at the end of the day, your 30s are AWESOME. Coming into your mid 30s is a blast: • You have money finally • You kinda have an idea of what you wanna do with your life • You’re not so emotionally volatile • People are slightly more mature, you don’t have to date idiot 20-year-olds Just know, it gets better. If it sucks right now, guess what? It’s supposed to.

You all need to know—though I think you already do—that I’ve never believed in long-distance relationships. My fault, I admit it. I’ve never believed in them, so imagine at the beginning of my relationship with Scarlett. Far be it from me—I used to say, ‘Impossible.’ After being single for three years, I thought, ‘Yeah right, like you’re going to get with a girl who lives on the other side of the world.’ Okay, not exactly the other side of the world—it’s about a two-and-a-half-hour flight—but still, there’s distance. But lesbians are kind of like that, for the most part. So I said, ‘I don’t know about long-distance relationships.’ I thought, ‘There will be so many doubts, so many issues.’ But I can assure you that distance doesn’t matter as much as you think. It’s paradoxical for me to say this now, because when I wasn’t in it, I couldn’t understand it. Then I realized: ‘Actually, it’s not the distance that gives you insecurities. If anything, any insecurities come from the person you’re with.’ And fortunately, I don’t have that discomfort, because I feel really good with Scarlett. John Cassavetes explaining why he made the movie: "'A Woman Under the Influence' (1974) was the first picture I’ve had anything to do with that wasn’t made out of plain, simple feeling, but rather out of a real desire to do something in my profession. It was extremely frightening for me not to come to work out of enthusiasm and instead put myself up as something of a craftsman. Earlier films such as 'Shadows' (1958) and 'Husbands' (1970) grew out of personal experiences reaching all the way back to my childhood days. They were expressions of my innermost feelings, and now that I’ve dealt with all that, I feel obligated to view life in other terms. I want to explore other areas of human and artistic experience. I made 'The Ki!!ing of a Chinese Bookie' (1976) as an intellectual experiment– not because I am in love with it. I enjoy a more intellectual and less emotionally demanding view than in my previous work. If I can make, out of certain intellectual ideas, films that are complex in their nature, then I’m entering into new ground. And that is certainly something I look forward to. I’m going to be honest. It’s been really hard on me. I’m unapologetically black in a predominantly white space and I face battles that no one else has to deal with. Culturally I’m different from literally every other person in this space so I feel completely misunderstood at times. People create fake accounts to harass me, I’ve been called the N word more times than I ever have in my life, people who I don’t even know go on podcasts and make up lies about me being a “runner”. Some people even found my mom’s number on the internet and called her house trying to get to me. Even when I’m winning it feels like every single bet or analysis is life or death. I don’t feel like I’m given the grace that other people may get who look different from me. I love what I do but I don’t deserve to be treated the way I’m treated by people especially for how much I’ve given to this space. I also don’t take kindly to being constantly called a DEI hire with all the things I’ve accomplished either. I probably don’t handle it the best. Ivy League degree aside, deep down I’m still a black kid from South West Philly and when I feel attacked, I revert back to the version of me that had to survive growing up. I try not to engage as much and ignore the noise but I’m not perfect. I’m still growing and still trying to become the best version of myself.

My time on the RTFKT Creators team has come to an end. I’m forever thankful to Franco and the rest of the creator team who carved out a “Creator In Residence” role for me knowing how much this creator ecosystem meant to me. As a creator who came into this space knowing nothing about digital avatar content creation, to have had the chance to push myself even further with projects like Animus Logs or the MK Pill Recap video has been a true blessing. I’m the biggest fan of Clones and my passion has always been for experimenting and sharing what’s been possible with them, so naturally being on a team that encouraged me to continue to do that has been a dream come true. But if you know me, you know the thing I’ve cared about above all is the family of creators that have poured their hearts into this project. I’ve had the most unforgettable life experiences connecting with all of you in real life and this network of genuinely awesome people is the one magical experience that I would do anything to help share. Words can’t explain it, but to be able to find friends in Tokyo, a younger brother in Germany, an older brother in Korea, a family in Los Angeles, future friends in Australia, it’s been an adventure of a lifetime that I’m so grateful for and it’s an experience that I think has true value in this shallow web3 world. These people are really just the coolest, and I’m proud to call them friends. To be able to play a part on the team and help with any of the efforts to push it all forward, whether it was organizing virtual/irl meetups, planning creator challenges, concepting ways to reward and highlight creators, or just going the extra step to connect personally, has been my honor and I’m proud to have given it my best.
