This has gotta be the most dynamic and complex 2d sequence ever.. Tarzan

STILL holds up!

It is a master class. But a 2d animated sequence that might be more complex is the crowd scene in The Wind Rises.

It's not 2D. The characters are 2D but the background is 3D. You can watch the making of this scene.

That's because it's mixed with 3D

It was aided with 3d animation

Glen keane is the ultimate animation master

^ I like how much raw energy this has. No offense to Pocahontas (that movie looks like a straight up cinematic painting) but this pushes exaggeration to the point of borderline smears in keyframes. A sort of dramatized unrealism :)

Really love this sequence until this day!

It's one of my favorite Disney 2-D animated style movies

Ugh 2D Disney was pure wizardry. It’s too bad they are almost exclusively 3D now
