This has happened to me

same happened with me

They never renovate while you’re still a student 😭.

Bruh. There was a whole new football turf set up where we played all kinds of sports on sand. Just the next year after I left. 12 years of school and they chose to do it just then 😭.

School really said thanks for coming now get out 😭

Literally my school after I graduated:

Man my middle school turned into this high texh multi story, pool 3 new basketball courts and volleyball courts, but when i went there they didnt even have lines in the parking lot and missing tiles all over the school

It has happened to all of us, that's why this meme exists. This is a goddamn universal experience !

not even a year after they built a whole new school and turned the old one into an elementary school

Being Gen X was the worst. Our schools were half empty, so no one wanted to spend any money on their upkeep.

damn the school was just renting a building back then, the moment i graduated they built a whole ass building right in front of a mall all i could say was damnit.

My high school in my final year mocked us by building a swimming pool that would be ready the next year.

Graduated and the school deleted us from the system immediately 😭

Haha true. I graduated 86 and the indoor pool and massive gym opened in 87.

so true

Also happened to me and my primary school basically. Back in 2019, they tore down the whole building, and built a new one on top. It's now two cubes of cement, steel and glass, barely even looks like a school anymore.

Mine actually shut down about 2-3 years after I left (which was about 11-12 years ago), and the shell of the school was just demolished about 2 months ago, because I think someone finally bought the land.

My highschool is a Tech now. They did major upgrades.

Happened to me in elementary, middle, high school and college

Ngl its is so true my college litrally was under construction for my 4 years as soon as i left boom Its done and perfect now

This has never happened to me

this was the case for the class of 2016 too. though the remodel had already been underway for some time before we left. we were the last class to use the CSI in twin as our venue though. so that was neat.

Completely real I studied in a shithole, my younger cousins got a new school almost.

My school been the same since I left 😭

Me took. The classes got AC the moment i graduated

Every school I've went to in my town was rebuilt the summer after I left it except my high school. They built a new one for just under $48m about 10 years after I graduated

my high school was actively doing construction starting in the spring of my freshman year and ended like 5 months after i graduated. didn't even get to reap the rewards of ts

After I graduated they built an entire new high school. Like really!? WTF!?

With me too 😭😭

Unironically this happened to me 3 times

For real Some years ago I went to pick my little brother from middle school and the place was barely recognizable

In 2nd grade, our teacher had an idea for us to collect cereal boxes to build a cereal box fort for our classroom reading area. It took us until the last week of the year to collect enough boxes. Seeing the kids in the next year's class sitting in that cereal box fort reading...

I swear 🤣🤣

This has happened to me in both elementary and middle school. Highschool they changed the scheduling for better hours
