I hope people are finally waking up to the fact that China has been at "war" with us for 30 years at least. The Chinese concept of war is expansive. Just because it's not bombs and bullets doesn't mean they are our friends in any way.

It is usually not the FBI or the CIA who finds these things; look at what that young reporter, Nick Shirley, found out. Aren't these agencies supposed to be on the look out for stuff like this?

I have seen people who live near the data centers talking about how their quality of life has been ruined. I've heard recordings of the noise these things make. I have no doubt that China wants to disrupt our economy, but don't try to put lipstick on the pig. Data centers are extremely problematic to people who are stuck living near them.

What “this” you referring to? The Chinese Influence, or the Mass Surveillance Facilities (aka Data Centers)? I’m not ok with either; but O’Leary is just worried about his investments here.

lol a “tens of thousands of percent increase” in traffic from bots. People have been actively protesting data centers in person way before this. It’s BS

You know Kevin once trust is lost which you have lost in spades in Utah it more than likely can never be restored. The way you and the grifters in our Governors office and the Utah Legislature tried to ram this through with no public input is criminal, shameful and heavy on deceit. I will never trust a word from your mouth, ever. If you say good morning the first think I am going to do is look at the time to make sure it’s in the am hours. You lad are NOT trustworthy along with you newfound friends in Utah Government. @kevinolearytv @GovCox @mschultz_12 @utahlegislature

Although I don't want organized CCP opposition to data centers, those of us that live in rural agrarian areas don't want them on our own. Why not put data centers in the hollowed out cities in the closed factory areas that sit abandoned. The data center could only be an improvement.

There's no way to get an IP address from a DM without the platform sharing it with you. The groups he's referring to are definitely concerning, but I'm also a little concerned that he was able to get "90 pages" of IP addresses *before* contacting law enforcement.

The funding? The bots? Or The raising of our electricity prices in favor of data centers? Won’t even get into water, noise and contamination of aquifers. I could solve the raising of electricity prices and actually get behind data centers if they would do two things. Make their own electricity and sell excess cheaply to the local residence that they are impacting. Secondly, use more expensive air cooling not water cooling. Use baffles to mitigate the noise. There are sound dimming systems that are super quiet for generation of electricity. They cost more but it’s not a huge cost relative to the sound attenuated power generation that can be achieved. But of course, this cost money and companies don’t like to spend any money unless they can get an immediate return. The immediate return as I see, it would be removing all of the hurdles that they’re going through to put these data centers in. If they would make and generate their own electricity and could actually cut the electricity of the people in the local surrounding towns by 20 or 50%, they could actually turn things around and be heroes. Maybe Kevin O’Leary will figure that out I think he’s a pretty smart guy.

Yes, his bullshit environmentally destructing Data centers yes stop them! This is a BS excuse to protect his investment. Go after those CCP operatives but not because of his reason! He cares abut public opinion against the DATA CENTERS because his investment depends on them.

Agreed, the Canadian should take his data center to Canada. This is not a job creator. This bubble is unsustainable and will pop and lead to the largest market crash and destroyer of wealth ever.

Doubtful. That information is only disclosed by X under valid legal process (e.g., to law enforcement with a proper request/court order). Ordinary users cannot see it from a DM as X routes DMs through its own servers. As a result, the other user’s IP stays internal to X and does not expose or provide sender IP addresses to recipients of DMs ...

If you think it is just happening here, think about what is happening in our election system—the very system that puts people in power to make the laws under which we live. Unite4Freedom's analysis of official election records from 35 states. • 38.3 million apparent violations in registrations • 20.1 million ballots counted from those registrants • 3.4 million difference between ballots counted and voters recorded as voting. The evidence warrants thorough investigation—not dismissal or denial. We've notified the states, so why are millions of errors in election systems being ignored?

Where is the data coming from for the data centers? Its the citizens data. Its for tracking the citizens and everything they do. The citizens should be paid for their data. Not pay for the data centers.

Yeah, if it's true. I'm not sure I believe him. He wants his mega data center in Utah and will do anything to get it. What better way to distract everyone than to make the people believe the biggest objectors to his data center are Chinese Communists? The people of Utah don't want his data center.
