Hello, The Environmental Assessment Office (EAO) takes matters of noncompliance very seriously and has escalated enforcement action related to the Coastal Gaslink (CGL) pipeline project to address ongoing issues with erosion and sediment control. The EAO has prioritized the CGL project for frequent inspections to monitor for compliance with all conditions and requirements, including responding to complaints. Enforcement action is taken for any findings of non-compliance. EAO compliance and enforcement officers monitor and inspect projects throughout construction and operation, and decommissioning. Their job is to make sure all the requirements set by the EAO to mitigate potential negative effects of a project are being followed. Ongoing monitoring ensures projects are designed, built, operated and decommissioned in compliance with the EAO’s requirements, or brought back into compliance through enforcement action if required. @BlacDonalds Curious, all the mud runoff is because of the pipeline ? It seems like there would have been mud runoff with or without the pipeline when the snow melted? They didn’t bring in dirt to trench a pipeline, the dirt/mud was already there?
