Unless I’m trying to stop a bullet or let a truck run over my head, I want the helmet that breaks up and absorbs impact so my brain doesn’t get scrambled inside a rigid unbreakable shell.

Cars do the same thing. Crumple zones and other safety tid-bits that allow the vehicle to absorb the impact, and disintegrate.
