Sponges cost more than real bricks and the cement. Although it's creative, it's not cost friendly.

Why not just buy real bricks? those sponges are like 2 to 5 bucks a piece and the bag of concrete is like 20 bucks plus the cost of the paint. I won't include mortar because it's needed either way. The actual bricks are between 99 cents and 3 bucks a piece making them cheaper.
