This implies that the Russo’s didn’t give him character development💀 when the final act literally has him go home wiser than the men killing each other after spending a majority of the movie an antagonistic threat, it’s one of this adaptation’s strongest moments

CW T’Challa spent an entire movie being a ruthless killing machine hunting an innocent man for a crime he didn’t commit and the moment he sees this he realizes the ugliness of vengeance, this entire arc is something he comes to see for himself If Ryan highlighted-

T’Challa’s interaction with the world or made the movie about him opening the truth to Wakanda without needing to alter Nakia’s character to persuade him into making the right decisions I highly doubt people would have much of a problem😭

It’s nuts that the movie version of Civil War is just so much more enjoyable than the comic version

my fav MCU movie and my fav arc in the series. Black Panther is such a cool antagonist in this, and it’s genuinely moving to watch his nobler, wiser side prevail in this moment

A lot of you people clearly don't know the difference between the writers and the directors... The Russo's didn't write these

You’re right, I have this habit of using the name of the director as an umbrella term for their role to overseer But that takes away credit where it should be due so I’ll admit fault for that Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are the real reasons T’Challa is so great in CW

*as overseer

Yup this scene is fantastic, one of the best moments for T'Challa. people try to downplay the importance of the groundwork the Russos laid when they introduced new characters in CW. Same goes for Spidey and that scene with him and Tony at his apartment

Slightly unrelated but MAN what a scene. The last half hour of this movie is just incredible dude.

Crazy how he got way more character development in civil war than his own movie

1) I always forget how good this movie actually was. 2) I always forget Black Panther was in it. 3) I always forget he was, like, the best part of the movie.

I very much like this moment for him. I was just disappointed that the development didn’t seem to follow into black panther. I think he should have acted more mature and not be completely tongue tied in front of his crush in the middle of a firefight.

Not to mention seeing a "Ghost of Christmas Future" of himself in a man who lost just as much as him (and MORE as in additional to losing his own father like T'Challa but his wife & child too) and how even his grander more ruthless vengeance still left him suicidally empty anyway

I also love that despite really wanting to kill Zemo before having his epiphany he still lets him get that off his chest

He had as much development in civil war as in black panther while also being cooler in Civil/Infinity War

I forgot how awesome he was in this movie

They did Black Panther good to balance the fact that they were preparing to ruin Spider-Man's character development in 2 years

Daniel Brühl is such a phenomenal actor.

Honestly they did MCU Black Panther better than his own movie tbh,2018 Black Panther was a downgrade he did improve in Infinity War for sure. Civil War did him right,

This is an extremely low bar for character development and a very cliche lesson to learn.
