This indie dev is making a relaxing game about sorting thousands of bricks - Rip matching bricks from the Pile with a magnet glove - Fling bricks over your shoulder into bins - Watch models build themselves brick by brick It's called Never Sort By Color. Would you play this?

what is the obsession with games where you do menial tasks that would be unfun IRL

must organize must clean must tidy must satisfy the tism

"Relaxing game" brother that gives me indigestion just looking at it

You need the right form of autism for this one

"Somewhere under that mountain of bricks is your floor. Sort the impossible Pile in first person with magnet gloves, sieves, and part-seeking vision." so, who's sorting this pile of bricks?? - wishlist here

What are the chances that this game actually controls a real robot that is tasked with sorting a real room full of bricks, and this dev is just offloading his work to the players?

There is nothing relaxing about that to me. If anything, the chaos sends my anxiety through the roof.

turn off the light and remove shoes and it becomes a horror jump scare game.

Looks a bit like "Librarian: Tidy Up the Arcane Library!" and "Supermarket Chaos". But the small build mechanic is a nice addition!

as a tism person this makes me nuts lol

Joe I'm gonna be real that library game was something special and this is exactly in the right ball park. Anything else in this genre of game you can recall?

this kind of game with a chill video, show, stream in the background would be so relaxing~ people who get it.. get it!

Did you know that you could also have kids and get this for free

I liked Librarian Tidy Up and Supermarket Chaos but this may be where I draw the line....

> relaxing I see a minefield of anxiety and pain.

Oh my god! That's my game!@ Thank you so much! DM me and I'll get you a key when I get a build posted. :)

Honestly it kinda turned me off seeing those literally being LEGO bricks (LEGO could probably sue the devs) and using a demo scene template from Unity as the backdrop, it kinda feels like 'I just picked the first demo scene I could find and this is my level'...

this is going to make my autism go brrrrrrrrrr

Imagine the satisfaction of cleaning this entire room...sorting every last brick... No doubt this looks like doing chores to most people, but for a particular type of gamer, Never Sort By Color must be endlessly appealing.

i've got a device that can help

There's a chest full of LEGOs at my grandparents and whenever I wanted to find specific pieces I would either loudly dig through the chest with my bare hands or dump it on the ground, rummage through it, and then place the mess back in the chest for 20 minutes.

I’m getting stressed out just watching this, can’t imagine playing it for fun.

I got enough chores in my real life to spend the little time I have to game “doing more chores” haha. With that said, there is something therapeutic about cleaning up a mess, so I could see people enjoying this.

I would play the shit out of this

"Oh yes, the concept is foolproof! We'll sell a billion, oh yes! 'Cause that's what all children long for: Cleaning up someone else's mess!" - @brentalfloss

This new genre is already getting too far lol. But love it.

No. I'd play the version of this where I can assemble the Legos.

I play this game in real life every other day. It sucks and I don't know how anyone could do this for fun

would be so awesome if I could get my legos sorted by someone's gameplay

from a technical perspective alone, this looks really impressive.

Fun fact, there's over 100,000 bricks in that trailer!

This is hellish

Brick by Brick, but acually getting it done.
