China is preparing to build its base on the moon. 🇨🇳🌖🏠 "Lunar soil bricks" are the future material that could be used to build houses on the moon. They are made by Chinese researchers simulating the composition of lunar soil. The "lunar soil bricks" will be sent to China's space station aboard the Tianzhou-8 cargo spacecraft to test their mechanical and thermal properties, as well as their resistance to cosmic radiation. The first "lunar soil brick" is expected to return to Earth by the end of 2025. These "lunar soil bricks" have a compressive strength of over 3 times that of ordinary red bricks and concrete bricks. This means an area of just 1 square centimeter can withstand a weight of over 10 tons.
