This indie developer is making a beginner-friendly 2D fighting game with colorful characters and super-simple controls. The game is Daybreak Slam. Would you play this?

They're clearly struggling with animation, probably just learned rigging. Why would I play this and not create a Mugen character list my friends unfamiliar to fighting games could enjoy exploring aimlessly? Stiff attacks that have a big input window aren't how to make things easy.

@devoriahub If the controls are simple, I might get this game. The general problem with fighting games is getting absolutely destroyed by people who have nothing better to do than play 24/7, and not having any fun at all because of it.

Hey! Thank you for featuring our game 😊🙌

Ah yes a rare fighting game in the recent days!

yes 🥰

Ok I see a VR trooper in here... Le GO

Now is the time to put out games indie devs... we all see that companies like Sony and Microsoft and Nintendo are screwing up royally. Now is the time to make your move. They are losing the trust and loyalty of their customers. Make it count.

Looks cool.

looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES

the colorful art style looks fun, reminds me of the kind of games i'd play endlessly as a kid. simple controls is a huge plus for getting friends into it who don't normally play fighters

I miss these silly fighting games. They are nice to play!

I do rather like the sheer variety in the characters! That's not something you tend to see much with any fighting game these days despite it launching so many to fame and popularity.

Vending machine hits hard
