This is a total outright unmitigated lie. In the last highway incident when roads were closed for a full day. EV drivers were the very warmest sitting in the snow. Gas dinosaurs ran empty and people froze, while EV drivers were toasty warm. EV drivers lose 5% charge only over long periods. Before babbling lies, why not learn some facts?

Stupidest thing I’ve seen today! I never got into my Tesla when it’s cold! It’s best for the battery to precondition it so you always get into a room temperature car! I hope this helps! 🤪

I'm 8 year Tesla owner & live where temp drop to -35C (-31f). Tesla warms up much quicker than gas cars, I can preheat it from inside using my phone, even when the Tesla is in the garage & never has issues starting. Important not to repeat things you have no knowledge of.

I think me driving my Tesla at 80mph is doing way more to the battery than running the heat

Drove 1600 miles through the UK, France and Spain in freezing January weather. In reality we were warm and toasty the whole way and the trip was a cinch. 😎

Except it's completely untrue. Also, I've not had to freeze pumping gas since 2022 and wake up every morning with a full battery.

Not true for Tesla owner especially those with home chargers. car warms up while plugged. no fumes. battery is warmed up to. when you go shopping you tell the car keep it warm. lite draw on power. if your stranded Tesla with a good charge will outlast most ice full tank.
