Ok I have to say something unpopular. No one is forced to work for Disney, no one is forced to work for any company. This is not a labor camp, if you want better compensation, go make it happen elsewhere if you’re not happy. Poor show as well for CMs to be protesting in costume.

Also, in OC California, Disney has paid far better than most employers. While they aren’t making $40 an hour, it isn’t Disney that is pricing them out of being able to live comfortably. Look at the rental and property management in the surrounding areas.

So how do you plan on holding Disney accountable to ensure cast get the contract they demand?

Every year corporations have to show bigger and bigger profits and society is at a point in which they are squeezing blood from a turnip! Paychecks are down prices are up we just do not have the $$$$ anymore

I know it might be more difficult in America, but they should go on strike... Inside of the park! They did this in Disneyland Paris. At least, it had more impact to the park. They had to cancel shows and parades since the park was full. Good luck to those brave cast members.

How much do they make? What’s current minimum wage? And what is current sick time policy?

But please, do not get me wrong. I have many, many friends that are CMs at DL, I want them to thrive, but there are better ways. You strike, you are losing money. Let the proper people negotiate, do your jobs.

As a former CM - it’s hard to describe the level of c$&p you get on a daily basis from guests & mgmt for so little in return When the rest of the US gets a minimum wage increase CMs are locked in with wage they signed on for & Disney won’t up it at all
