This is a great topic! DPI is quite important, it's not talked about enough. Here's a video I made to explain how dpi matters a lot depending on the person.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, stuff like this is super nerdy but more important than people might think!

W post

You know what’s really gonna get your noodle cooking? Polling rate high vs low.

400 DPI gives a more raw granular motion when 800 DPI gives finer tracking because the sensor sends more data i think it depend of what game u play , same edpi but 800 dpi usually feels smoother for micro adjustments in my opinion

So then is it better to have higher DPI and match your sens to what it is now with lower DPI on a tact shooter or stick with current setup? For example, I play .98 sens with 800 DPI on CS2. Would it be better to have 1600 DPI or 400 DPI and match the sens to that DPI oooor just leave it because no gains are made? I've seen a lot of people say higher DPI lower sens is always better. But I have lower IQ than my sensitivity so I don't get any of this really on a technical level.

Every tweet i see about this no one actually looking at the numbers lol higher DPI reduces quantization error and is objectively better. Depending on if you have parkinsons disease or not, your backrgound hand tremors / noise is gonna be less than typical noise from 400 dpi

No one advocates more for higher and higher dpi than me. But not everyone runs sapphire skates on resin or speed glass with UHWME and lubricant. Also clicks will end up moving your mouse no matter what you do as you increase dpi. Kind of useless for tac shooters. Limit testing isn’t really useful when trying to perform at an adequate and consistent level especially depending on the game.

Good video 👍

Excellent breakdown

On the case of warzone do you think it makes difference from 800 to 1600?

Not really, stick to 1600 if below 30cm tho

I'm with 39cm should i go 800 dpi then?

Wow Mr Bruhskey! your voice has changed a lot I play 1.2 800 on Apex do you think I should play 1600 DPI for Apex or is 800 Good?

Hi Purrkour! Honestly, 1.2 800 is 43cm. If you were to change to 0.6 1600, at 43cm/360, you would indeed get a boost in reactivity. Although, I think it will be not too noticeable. But, it will make looting much faster once you get used to it!

:O Oki Thanks you Goat! :)

I want to try low dpi in valorant now 🤔

It’s worth, a lot easier to aim with ngl

I've had so much trouble with valorant. It's probably that i'm just shit and i don't have the reaction time necessary but yea i need to try this

Nah nah, you are definitely not. It's straight up just the game man. You could have the best aim in the world and it wont matter when you die to 28 flashbangs and cc spam. Need to learn button mash toddler game sense Also the game's just awful to play imo.

tried it, the low dpi definitely suits game like this. feels nice. but i'm shit mate. maybe i wasn't locked in but you don't finish all 3 games as a bottom frag with 0.5k/d without being a little shit 😆

Legit just looks like you’re only missing playtime to predict crosshair placement. You’re vibing

Woah info

Bruhskey 2 miss you dawg

Nerd. Also it's shocking that people can be really deep into mice or competitive gaming on mnk and not understand this.

actual good explanation

I also think it depends on personal preference, and what you're used to. The most important thing when it comes to sens/dpi is picking one and sticking with it when you practice. No sens is going to magically make you better at the game.

Followed you on YouTube

Goat, thank you!

Anytime

hello , i love this video , I wish you made more videos !! I use 15cm/360 what dpi should i use to fully enjoy this sens benefits? I play tac shooter cs2 and val and games like warzone and delta force

Thank you! 1600+ dpi is the minimum for 15cm and below 🫡

Thank you , I started using 3200 dpi and it feels good 💪

what do you mean cm im so confused

i play on 1600 :)

So For a game like Halo Infinite, better lower dpi? i play on 1600, i should try 800 or even 400?

Why did you not mention input latency?

I’ve always used 400 am slow sens in games I’ll stick to 400

What is CM and CMM?

then whats the difference of lowering my dpi if then i ajust my sens in game to have the same edpi as before? Still kinda new to this and watched the video multiple times but still didnt get it. Would it be more tracking points = more shakiness?

Yes that's correct. More granularity, essentially more fine details being picked up, which is bad when you want stability and good when you want reactivity.

Got it, so I pretty much removes micro movements and jitters so one can be more accurate. Thank you 🫡

DPI is not important at all. Genetically good aimers will play almost equally well with any mouse or any settings they use

Bro lemme try this, I'm on 1600 dpi, .175 in game sens in Valorant. Hope this makes my aim a lot smoother. My Aim is kinda shaky lately

Cool video, but how many women have you spoken with this week?
