It’s interesting, as a former COVID ICU nurse in NYC, that so many people say things like “remember when we ALL worked from home and learned to bake?” No we did not all do that. I watched a lot of people die. And a lot of those people were “essential” and didn’t get to stay home

i wore a mask 1 and a half of my years in college and got harassed by my dad about living in fear cause he got covid and was fine ...a side effect of my chronic pain meds is my immune system basically being turned off. i will literally die if i get it. :)

It still sets me off when I hear people talk about how amazing lockdown was for them. I lost so many family members in the space of 6 months it traumatised us for life. Those whose families came out unscathed do not know how unbelievably lucky they are.

I remember pointing out how dumb this was and people said I was schizophrenic and then demanded to know “what possible reason would people have to lie?!?!” Then my final YouTube account was permanently deleted for “Covid misinformation.” I’m not looking for sympathy I think it’s hilarious I’m just retelling the story to give people perspective.
