Penn State alum here. even though Notre Dame won at the end on that 2 point conversion-it's for sure one of the greatest college football games 've ever seen. the first wave of the Notre Dame vs. Penn State football rivalry ended up at 8-8-1. several classic games in that mix🏈🤘

@HorsemenPod And it was cold and I had a cold with a fever but our seats were at the 50 behind ND bench about 5 rows up…clearly saw JB score but was blocked on the 2pt to RB but the rest of the crowd went nuts so I knew he caught it.great day!!

Also no stupid overtime. You risked losing by going for a 2pt conversion in order to actually win… or be harassed for life for settling for the easy tie.

Funnest college football game I've ever been to.

My late father and I were at this game and we almost bailed at halftime because of the snow and cold. We were sure very happy afterwards that we stayed for the whole game! ☘️☘️☘️

@HorsemenPod That was the day of my high school placement exam. Had to miss the first half. What a game. The 4th down call and TD to Bettis was their planned 2pt conversion play . Also they were lucky the refs didn’t throw a flag cause of the students on the field.

ND has to bring back field seats. It adds an element we’ve been lacking for a while. Every SEC game I watch seems to have thousands on the sidelines and I’m sure it helps the home team.

Also, that old school ND hat Lou was wearing was amazing. Would love to find that hat somewhere.

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was a Jr in high school. Best era ever of ND football. Brooks, Bettis, Mirer, Burris, that team was loaded.

Nothing good lasts… smh

I was sitting in the opposite endzone. Of course I stood up for the fourth down play. The guy behind me yelled “down in front”. 🤪 I still can’t believe it.

Now it’s Disneyfied. Orderly. And the stadium vibe: nasally woman banshees whaling into on a microphone. What diarrhea.

I was a teenager at the time. My cousin had a last minute ticket for me but I couldn't get a ride. I had to settle for jumping up and down in my living room.
