This was designed this way on purpose to get only gm mechs on it so they can charge the customers outrageous prices.

LMAO, "I'd rather do five Audi's than one of these" Hilarious if you've every worked on an Audi.

We need more mechanic crashout reels…

I just put $3k into my almost 19 yo Honda that's worth around $5k on a good day. Friends keep asking why I don't buy a new car. My mechanic says he can fix anything on it with few exceptions

It's nice to hear a language I speak and understand.

We can’t save this.

“The starter is probably on the engineers back pocket” fu**ing took me tf out‼️ 😭😭

That Caddilac is a joke. This is me when I was a kid. 1951 ¾ ton GMC. I was probably preparing to install a 216ci straight 6 which I took out of a 1949 panel truck. Had a 4 on the floor. Picture probably taken in 1984.

I started turning wrenches when I was 16 in my dads shop in 1976, goin on 50yrs now, the most important thing to learn is when to turn a job down. I tell people, just because you were stupid enough to buy, doesn't mean I'm stupid enough to work on it, especially Audi's

Well you know what they say, engineers will crawl over 100 virgins to fuck a mechanic. Looks like it still rings true.

Remember when we could crawl into the engine compartment and access all the components??

Thank Obama for bailing GM out of bankruptcy. Just like everything else he touched. It turns to shit

“Where’s the starter, in some engineer”s back pocket” 😅😂🤣

Engines are way over engineered now, and absolutely the engineers don’t give a shit about repairing the vehicle.

"Who knows where they hid the fucking starter" Lol

"There's a starter in there somewhere, it must be a fkn pull rope!" LOL 😂🤣

I don’t think he’s done yet. I think he’s got more in the tank. Now, tell us how you really, really, really feel about this engine.

Here's what engines looked like back in the day, when I got started as a Ford engine repair mechanic's apprentice, way back in the early 80's... Being an auto mechanic back in those days was a different ball-game altogether...

In the 30s GM made a 16 cylinder engine for the Caddie that ran like a Swiss watch & you could get to everything that needed fixing. The car was the American version of the big European touring cars. I look at current crimped, cramped Caddies with regret over what we have become.

I worked on a bmw x5 2009 my wife bought. We love the car. But as a mechanic, I knew I'd have to work on it eventually. I'm pretty close to burning it down also. After rebuilding the front and rear suspension, coil packs replaced, 400 dollar battery, plugs ,oil change ,trans service including transfer case maintenance. Not including window actuators. Now the battery keeps dying. Parasitic draw that makes no sense. Now while I work on it ,my wife's dad gave her a audi a four Quattro. Two cars with check engine lights on.

Many years ago when you opened the hood you could see the ground on either side of the engine, drop a nut or bolt, 98% chance it was on the ground! With the new cars, drop a nut or bolt, 98% chance you'll never see it again!

Why do they make stuff like this 😭

Any mechanics in here, can one of you explain to me why gas mileage hasn't gotten appreciably better over the years as our engines have supposedly improved in their efficiency? It's always 15 to MAYBE 30, 32 miles per gallon? Its been the same for 70 years. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? It has to be a coordinated effort to keep us buying more and more gas right?

Fuck Engineers ... Unless they were mechanics before. Overeducated idiots .... Most of them. I work in engineering, but don't call me an engineer I fix what Engineers design ... Daily 🤨🤨🤨

And that’s why I’m thinking of buying a Tesla not deal with this shit anymore. I had vibration while I’m driving on highway then took it to a shop changed anything that vibrates for $1675, after 3 days vibration came back again 🤦♂️ took it to another shop they quoted me just over $800 to change the brakes rotors and alignment then after a week vibration is back again. I’m fucking giving up I’m thinking 🤔 of buying an electric car with no engine

A long time friend of the family was a foreman in a shipyard. He would routinely drag engineers out into the yard and berate them for bonehead designs. He tried for years to get the owner to put engineers in the field a week per month.

I want to see the reaction of the engineering team that designed this when they see the video.

This is part of the reason cars get “totaled” for fairly minor accidents, and then everyone’s auto insurance goes up continuously.

Such a thankless job . I did it 7 years ago full time after growing up around it . Bravo to those who stay in it for long haul . That’s tough

Dude is full of shit. That friggin car is a masterpiece of usa engineering. OK...OK.. granted GM, did move the design aspect to India...but it was assembled in Mexico...and..well maybe he has something there.

5 Audis 😭😭😭😭💀 those that know, know

Is that Steve Buscemi? 😁

Teslas have got to be the easiest cars to work on ever. 1. Pop out frunk 2. Everything is attached to a sway bar and electrically boosted so no pulley 3. You don’t have to do any of this because it never really breaks

He’s a shitty mechanic because they are cake to work on and all you have to do is take off two nuts and you can jack the engine off the cradle and the A/c pump comes right out. The motor mounts are 2 nuts. How hard is that. Bitch and moan. Stop being a dumb fu$&

Must be a pull fuckin rope!! 😂😂😂 ☠️
