The issue is that kids are missing out on one of the most important activities for their development: Unstructured play. Play is where kids get to use their imagination & creativity. Its how they learn to socialize & develop problem solving skills. Its been shown to support healthy brain development & lower stress. Kids need minimum 1hr a day of time & space to do whatever they please. Make it a pillar in their schedule and add other activities around it.

Roughhousing helps with learning and healthy development in so many ways This is why its so important for parents to create plenty of opportunities for kids to play rough. Wrestle with them so they learn how and understand boundaries. Let them socialize with peers their age and rough play will naturally happen When lines get crossed (they usually do) use it as a teaching opportunity
