Some enlightening perspective there. On one hand your thrown into the thick of it and then pulled out before you've built reliable coping strategies. On the other hand day to day construction of coping mechanisms takes time, while planning for that trauma is more focused.

That is interesting, im sure the different surroundings and problems cause a stress in a person that only they can react to in their own way. you dont know what your walking into till you get there. yous are the heros too for doing this. what you see can be hard so hard

If the situations were reversed, don’t you think the media would be screaming from the top of their lungs about racism? If this is the new norm, I don’t think I want anything to do with it. Daily occurrences. And it doesn’t seem that anyone is doing anything about it.

This was awesome. I got the opportunity to describe to Rick Rubin how I make Founders podcast: “Steph Curry was asked: What do you think of when you're taking a shot? And he said: Absolutely nothing. I’ve had people ask me how I choose what to highlight. What are you thinking of when you're doing this? And my response is: Nothing. I just read and if something jumps out to me I don't think at all, I just underline it. And then I'll go back through and reread all my highlights. And if that part is still interesting, it was interesting the first time, now it's interesting the second time, it's probably interesting to other people. There's 10 million mes out there. I'm not unique. And there's no way that if I read this line twice and found it interesting that if I read it on a podcast that somebody else is not going to think it's interesting too. If I overthink it or if I think of “oh this person might hear it” or “oh this many people will hear it” that gets in the way. I'm thinking of nothing.”
