Few sights in aviation are as unforgettable as a Tomcat in full afterburner especially through night vision. Captured over the Persian Gulf in 2000, this rare footage shows “Ripper 200,” VF-11’s CAG aircraft, lighting up the night with its twin afterburners.

For our new visual investigation on how night vision and city lights may have played a part in the DCA crash we: - Flew a drone along the helicopters route - Filmed incoming planes through night vision goggles - And analyzed it all within a 3D model of Washington, D.C. 🧵

This was the moment we struck and destroyed two oil tankers affiliated with the American regime in the northern Persian Gulf last night. Less money for pedophile cowboys!

This is the NV mode of HUD SIGHT. The brightness of the visible-light display is reduced to a night-vision-compatible level, allowing it to function by tandem-mounting a night-vision device such as a PVS-14 behind the sight.

🇷🇺Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov: 'The war in the Persian Gulf, in my view, there is no ill intention here. I do not think that there were actual plans to destroy civilisation. I believe that this is just a figure of speech, but there were plans to put oil under control, the oil that comes through the Persian Gulf, through the Strait of Hormuz.'

Did you know that some beaches along the Persian Gulf in southern Iran glow beautifully this blue at night? This rare phenomenon happens during certain seasons when bioluminescent plankton come close to the shore. Repost if you'd love to experience that atmosphere.
