I am splitting time between Godot & Unity but took a detour to see what the threejs hype was about. Was able to put together a 2.5D system pretty quickly with some of our 2D pipeline for a demo. Godot and threejs side-by-side same assets. Cave + Bridge scene is threejs. Idea on this one was a group of knights having to take back a world from evil with only their shields. All the swords flew up into the sky, suspended by something. Not in my usual style but really dig the lighting in threejs, scenes came together really quickly. The shield throw ended up going into the Moki demo as a leaf throw. Which one looks better?

This is some quietly impressive work on making video world models actually controllable in 4D space. VerseCrafter lets you take an input image, use something like Blender to animate the 3D camera path and object trajectories, then uses that to condition generation. Scribbling in 2D feels so crude in comparison. The authors represent everything in a shared 4D world state - static background as a point cloud, moving objects as 3D gaussian trajectories. The gaussians are an interesting choice because they capture position, shape, and orientation probabilistically rather than forcing rigid bounding boxes or category specific models like SMPL-X for human bodies. They bolt this onto frozen Wan2.1 with a lightweight adapter, so they get a strong video prior. They also built a pipeline to auto extract 4D annotations from real world videos to train this puppy. It doesn't look sexy yet, but IMO this is the interface video world models need - actual 3D authoring tools to exert control rather than crude scribbles and prompt incantations.

I've been working a lot with SAM3 and the Momentum Human Rig (MHR). I finally integrated it into the data I'm working with Rerun. The progression I've taken looks as follows SAM3 + SAM3D-body on 1. a single image 2. a set of multiple images 3. a single video 4. A multiview video capture I took inspiration from the SAM3D-body paper and built a multiview fitting optimization pipeline. This pipeline involves using the 2D keypoints from the single-view pipeline, triangulating them, and employing an L1 loss between the 2D/3D keypoints. The temporal stability isn't great, so that's the next portion I'm going to focus on. One really frustrating thing about SAM3D-body is the lack of per-joint confidence values. It makes it harder to deal with occlusions. I'm probably going to need to use a separate model, or maybe add a confidence head.

Okay this is really cool. Codex app has a new feature that is really useful. Highlight any text, and you'll notice a new popup. "More Details" uses GPT 5.5 Instant to explain in more detail about the highlighted portion of your text, allowing you to understand the reasoning/concept/statement/etc in greater detail. What's interesting about this versus a side chat is that it's instantaneous, and still retains context from the thread. With /side chat, you'd have to type out a prompt "what are the details on this?" With "more details" the prompt is implicit and the response is instantenous Very nice feature, as I'm always making side chats/branches to expand/learn/understand agent outputs better.

I've been pondering something... My end goal with my city simulator is to publish it on Steam. I was planning on using Three.js for prototyping and then porting this over to Unity to take advantage of ECS/Burst. But then I realized I could probably port all of the simulation code from TypeScript to Rust if I wanted to make it ultra-fast. And then I can continue to use Three.js for the renderer and then embed it into an Electron app. Is that a dumb idea? What pitfalls are there with this approach? Curious what people's experience publishing games using Electron has been.

For full games, your best bet is to build it with smaller models, then use this skill to improve the graphics. 2023 was the year of AI avatars 2024 was the year of AI photos 2025 was the year of AI videos And I think it's becoming clear now that 2026 will be the year of AI world models Fully interactive explorable 3d worlds generated from one or multiple 2d images or a prompt In turn these 2d images can then be generated by AI too So soon you can generate fully explorable virtual 3d worlds based on your own imagination Next will be figuring out how to make those worlds interactive This is World Labs (unaffiliated, but I like it) As always a lot of big AI model companies are now working on the same thing: 3d world models, only World Labs has a real properly working demo (for now) Very exciting time again!

messy inputs 👉🏽 polished outputs built a prototype with the idea of letting users bring together images from Lummi into a canvas, quickly wireframe a concept, and then generate polished images as a photo, illustration, 3d render, whatever—with the right lighting, shadows, cohesive colors, and all that good stuff the output is still not great... but this is where I see the future of creative tools heading—kind of like how you give ChatGPT an idea for an email—all the messy bits—and it writes it for you in any tone or style you want in a clear way. now imagine that but for design or imagery

I got a strike on Youtube to have my channel removed from this clip. A fake clip of AI Jake Paul eating a cooking and then firing a gun into the air. The whole thing is fake. I've been getting multiple strikes for the past week and till now they all had been reversed but Youtube let this one stay. Thank you guys for the support over the years. This looks like the end though for me.
