The UAE’s UN representative starts of his speech by gaslighting the chamber claiming what they are delivering is aid to Sudan. We know... show more

On the 22nd June last year the RSF militia captured the city of El Geniena in West Darfur from the Sudanese Army. The RSF militia (which identifies as Arab) immediately turned to massacring the city’s male civilian population before they could escape. They Massacred 8,000 men and boys from the African (sedentary) Masalit tribe in a genocidal atrocity on the scale of Srebrenica (Bosnian Genocide). Masalit mothers fleeing Al Geniena dressed up their baby boys as girls so RSF militiamen would not kill them if found. Hundreds of thousands of Masalit people who survived fled to Eastern Chad. Rather than being horrified by its proxy militia’s atrocities in West Darfur, the UAE saw an opportunity to up its arms supply again under the guise of humanitarian aid! #Sudan

The UAE authorities immediately announced that they would be establishing a field hospital to assist refugees who fled to Chad. The move was immediately suspicious because of the location of this field hospital was at Amdjarass. Nearly all refugees from West Darfur are in refugee camps around Abeche and Adre both of which are more than 300km south of Amdjarass and there is no paved road connecting Amdjarass with Abeche and Adre. Genuine international relief operations such as the WFP use the airport at Abeche to assist refugees.

There is simply no logical reason why a humanitarian operation would be located so far from the refugees that need it and their is no reported case of a Darfuri refugee being given access to this supposed refugee heath facility. The local Zaghawa people of Amdjarass knowing that the UAE have been using the airport to supply the RSF have been vocally protesting the UAE’s control of the airport. This banner reads that “the Zaghawa community and the residents of Amdjarass as a whole reject the handing over of Amdjarass airport to the UAE” #Sudan

Amdjarass though is conveniently close to Al Zurruq the RSF major supply town in North Darfur. Arms Flights from the UAE refuel in East Africa before continuing to Amdjarass before continuing by land to Al Zurruq where it is distributed to RSF militiamen in various war theatres in Sudan.

The volume of flights arriving to Amdjarass (which is a small town) is astounding, in the space of one month last year the airport was receiving a UAE cargo flight everyday. To put that in to context that makes the Abu Dhabi - Amdjarass route one of the busiest UAE cargo routes in the world. This for an impoverished town with a population of less than 20,000! #Sudan

And weapons boxes being captured by the Sudanese in the first few months showed that the Country of origin for these weapons was the UAE. But then the UAE and the RSF took note of this and they began to scratch off the weapons identification details and serial numbers off the boxes as can be seen I. The 3rd picture #Sudan

But there is some evidence that you can’t scratch off or hide. In this clip this RSF militiaman is firing an 9M133 Kornet Anti tank guided missile. The RSF militia do not have expertise in artillery so they use the Kornet and other ATGM to target static positions such as Army bases and vital civilian infrastructure. A single Kornet missile for this system costs $26,000, this isn’t the sort of weapon that you would ever expect to see in the hands of a non state actor given its high price tag plus restrictions on exports that exist on it. The RSF militia of course claims that they captured these from the Sudanese Army but here is the thing the Sudanese Army operates the 1st generation version of the weapon this is the 3rd generation. The RSF received these Kornet systems from a third country; almost certainly the UAE. #Sudan

It’s not just light weapons that the UAE is supplying to its genocidal proxy militia in Sudan. During the course of this war the Sudanese Army has captured and destroyed dozens of Ajban 440A fighting vehicles manufactured by the UAE. #Sudan

In this post below I spoke about a technical landcruiser captured from the RSF manufactured in July. The significance of this is that it was manufactured 3 months after the war started in Sudan. The vehicle serial number shows that it was imported from the UAE. This conclusively proves that the UAE has continued to supply the RSF weapons and Arms during the course of the war. #Sudan

RSF militiamen are very appreciative of the support that the UAE provides them in the clip on the left is an RSF technical firing in to a civilian neighbourhood with a UAE flag draped on its bonnet. On the right is a screenshot from a clip where an RSF militiaman has decided to sow a UAE flag patch on to his uniform #Sudan

It’s extremely important to mention that the UN’s panel of experts has already concluded that Sudan accusations that the UAE is arming the RSF via Amdjarass are “credible” #Sudan

The UAE means to subjugate the Sudanese people through its genocidal proxy militia so it can exploit our peoples’ labour and resources (in particular gold). As well as coveting Sudan’s Red Sea coast so it can become a power on all 3 sides of the Arabian peninsula (they already control Yemen’s Socotra). And as its proxy militia terrorises millions of innocent Sudanese, the UAE has managed to use its immense wealth to buy global silence. The Sudanese people need your solidarity! #Sudan

End of thread.
