This is a very important conversation because almost no one else on Bill Maher’s side is willing to admit what’s happening. Maher just brought up the mask phenomenon on the left while talking with neuroscientist Andrew Huberman. As Maher pointed out, COVID was five years ago, yet if you...

Let's not forget, it is being used by criminals to disguise themselves from all the camera's out there.. and the left won't call them on it in the big cities because of their politics.

It’s kind of sad that Fauci didn’t make the claim that clown noses would protect them from Covid.

OMG. It's not rocket science, guys. Of course the people wearing masks want to remain anonymous - because they're either doing something wrong (often committing crimes) and are afraid of the consequences, or they're cowards who don't want to get in trouble with their tribe. SMH

Went to the grocery store. Masks weren’t in yet. People were friendlier, more patient, making eye contact and conversation. 2 days later, masks required by the store. People were rude and impatient and unfriendly. Only difference was the damn masks.

This is so fucking stupid. You know who politicized masks!? Fucking TRUMP. You were called a liberal snowflake for wearing one and trying to protect others.

I lived in Japan for a decade and was surprised to learn that they wear masks for a variety of psychological reasons more often than for medical reasons.

Back in the day, when I still wore glasses, I had some sunglasses that went over the Rx glasses. It was like being in my own little room. Created a barrier from the world. Like being in public but not being in public. It was kind of odd but real.

The Circle (2000, Panahi)/ Iran "Political movies have limited time. After that time, it doesn’t say anything anymore. But if the whole thing is said in an artistic way, then it doesn’t have an expiration date." --- Jafar Panahi Full Excerpt: "Interviewer: The subject matter of 'The Circle' (2000) is controversial. You mentioned that the film is still banned in Iran. In fact, when I was watching the film, I realized that through the characters, there’s a lot of fear about the system, the establishment, the police. The women can’t smoke; they have to wear the chador; they seem to want to hide every time. This is all very clear from watching the film. Did you deliberately want to make a statement about the political situation in Iran? Panahi: I have to tell you again that I’m not a political person. I don’t like political movies. But I take every opportunity to comment on the social issues. I talk about the current issues. To me it’s not important what is the reason for what has happened. Whether it’s political reasons or geographical reasons: these are not important—but the condition, the social issues. It is important to me to talk about the plight of humanity at that time. I don’t want to give a political view, or start a political war. I think that the artist should rise above this. Political movies have limited time. After that time, it doesn’t say anything anymore. But if the whole thing is said in an artistic way, then it doesn’t have an expiration date. So it doesn’t really serve a political purpose. Then it can be everlasting, for always, and it could be for anywhere. But I know that politically, with the film authorities, with any kind of film that has some political background in it, they would take issue with it. And for this reason, that is what the problem is. Interviewer: Still, your film makes a very strong statement about the problems that women face in Iran. Panahi: Yes, I agree with that. Interviewer: So that is humanitarian, of course, but it’s also political. Panahi: Yes, I agree with that. It has the elements. It all depends on how you look at it. If a person has only political views, then he will only see the political. But if you are a poet or an artist, then you see other things as well in the movie. If you are a socialist, you see political or economic or whatever different points of view. You mustn’t look at a film with only one point of view. If you want to see 'The Circle' (2000) as political, then it is one of the most political movies in Iran. By political, I mean partisan politics. But even the police, I didn’t want to show them as bad. In the first instance, you are afraid of the police. Because you are looking at them from the point of view of someone who is now in prison. And normally you see him in a long shot, but when they come nearer and you see them in a medium shot, you can see their human faces. Then it comes down to, “Do you need any help?” But he goes back again and becomes frightening. If I were being political, then I would always show the police as dangerous or bad persons." (Jafar Panahi's interview with Stephen Teo, Senses of Cinema, 2001)

Adam Carolla just exposed the entire Democrat playbook right in front of Bill Maher — and Maher clearly didn’t like what he was hearing. Carolla broke down how, no matter what Trump accomplishes, the Democrats’ only cudgel against him is chaos and agitation. Maher tried to flip the script, but Carolla held his ground. CAROLLA: “I think ultimately, you know, people care about gas prices and egg prices and, you know, stability and, you know, their paycheck and affordability and like, basic stuff, you know, can you afford a house and stuff like that?” “And I think if, if Trump comes through with all that stuff, then I think, most of America will sort of be okay with it.” “I don’t think the Democrats are going to be okay with it, because they’re going to sort of agitate. And I think essentially the plan is chaos and agitation.” “And then a sort of a ‘don’t you want this to stop?’” Maher looked bewildered. MAHER: “You think it’s the Democrats who are agitating?” CAROLLA: “I do.” MAHER: “Really?” “There’s some agitating on the right. Come on. I mean ICE is agitating. Even they’re admitting it now…” Carolla delivered a point about ICE Maher couldn’t argue with. CAROLLA: “Right, but they go to states and municipalities where they just go do their job. And there isn’t shots and bottles of whatever.” MAHER: “They do, and I always like to look from, you know, as a history major, like what will the historians say when they write about this in 100 years?” “Well, first of all, a lot of shit will have happened. So it’ll only get a paragraph. And that paragraph will probably begin with, because the Biden administration went so far with letting in illegal immigrants.” “There was a backlash that followed in the Trump and then blah blah blah and all his excesses there. So everything, every action is, is a reaction.”

jihoon answering teumes’ worries at dawn live 👤: I really wanted to receive a psychiatric (treatment) but I don’t have the courage to do it. Should I go? I think I’m going to have a hard time accepting that I am falling apart. 🐶: but I recommend going to the psychiatrist, whether if it’s receiving a psychological counselling or a psychiatric examination, it’s good to receive a treatment for it. Everyone, going to the psychiatrist doesn’t make you weird. If you caught a cold, you go to the internal medicine department, If your joints or bones hurts, you go to the orthopaedics. It’s just a cold that come to the mind. It’s not that going to the psychiatrist makes me a weird person, no it’s not that. It’s just that I’m exhausted for a while, it’s just a hospital. There’s more people going there more than you think, if you go to hospital, the queuing are the longest. Nowadays, it’s the same as the past too but there’s no one who doesn't have a hard time. In this hard world, although there are people who look at the hard times in a good way, & there are also people who don’t look at it in a good way… but since it’s a world where we lived together, there's nothing we can do about it, right? But those kind of, “ah I went to the psychiatrist & I collapsed” I don’t think you have think of that. It’s just, “I am having a hard time these days so I’m just going to get help for it” just think of it as if you caught a cold. I hope you don’t think of this deeply. Of course you can go. If your stomach hurt, you can go to the internal medicine, if your head hurts, you can go to the Otolaryngology. It’s just that your heart is having a hard time for a while. This is not something to be ashamed of, you don’t need to read the air with the people around you for this. Always cheer up, even if you collapse, let's practice the strength that can make you rise again slowly, treasure makers. You can do it, everyone, I know you can do it.

Ana Kasparian picks a fight with Bill Maher about Israel and Gaza—then all hell breaks loose. ANA: “You wanna get exhilarated right now? I can exhilarate you.” MAHER: “I know you’re gonna say genocide, and I’m gonna say, well, you don’t know what the word means… Hamas is the bad guy. If you don’t get that, you don’t get much.” ANA: “What Hamas did on October 7th was disgusting killing.” MAHER: “Well, that’s the easiest thing in the world to say… If you hate oppression… Hundreds of millions of women have basically no freedom in the Muslim world.” ANA: “So we should slaughter them instead, which is what’s been happening.” MAHER: “Well, you should prosecute a war to the end. That does involve slaughter in every war.” ANA: “Civilians get killed in wars.” MAHER: “Especially when you hide behind them.” ANA: “But when 83%, according to the IDF’s own data… 83% of the people that they’ve killed are civilians—” MAHER: “Because they hide behind them.” ANA: “But Bill, do you understand that by killing so many civilians, they are essentially multiplying extremism.” MAHER: “I do understand that. Do you understand that there’s very often in the world two very bad choices… You don’t have a good choice. You have the bad choice and the even worse choice.” ANA: “Israel has nuclear weapons, Bill. They have nuclear weapons.” MAHER: “Well, they have nuclear weapons, which they don’t use. If Hamas had a nuclear weapon, how many seconds would it take before they used it on Israel?” ANA: “I don’t know.” MAHER: “Three. Three’s the answer. Three seconds.” ANA: “How do you know that, Bill? Come on.” MAHER: “Because it’s in their charter.” ANA: “You have a difficult time at least acknowledging the atrocities that have been committed against innocent civilians in Gaza.” MAHER: “Well, it depends on what you call an atrocity. All wars are going to have atrocities… During the Civil War, a lot of people would say, especially in the South, that Sherman did not have to burn Atlanta quite as badly as he did. I mean, we were pretty brutal. But would you also then just say, well, we don’t know who the good guys were in that war? No, I think it was the North.” ANA: “I think much of the problems we have in the Middle East are due to the enabling of this expansion. Look, it’s an expansionist policy.” MAHER: “They’ve never been trying to expand.” ANA: “They’re trying to annex the West Bank right now. And Lebanon—southern Lebanon—and Syria, which they’ve succeeded in.” MAHER: “Excuse me, these are all places that they were attacked from. When they became a country in 1947, they said, ‘Okay, we will accept half a loaf.’ They had as much right to that land as anybody. There was a continual presence there since 1000 BC, when King David had a kingdom.” ANA: “I don’t care about that at all.” MAHER: “But it’s relevant!” (MAHER AND ANA TALK OVER EACH OTHER) MAHER: “You’re calling them colonizers. They’re not colonizers.” ANA: “They’re expanding, and they’re annexing land. That’s what colonizers do.”

Bill Maher DEFENDS Charlie Kirk after actor David Cross tried to paint him as racist. Maher refused to let Cross run away with the narrative. MAHER: “But like the the the rank and file Republican, I don’t think is a racist.” “I think you can get them into positions that look racist, but I don’t think in their bones they’re like what the racists kind of what I grew up was like a racist was somebody who didn’t want to shake a black person’s hand.” CROSS: “Yes...I don’t think that’s a thing, but I think there is...I mean I know there is because they say as much.” “There’s a feeling, a sense that...uh...I mean like Charlie Kirk stuff that women and black people and black women especially are just not...” “I’m not being an a**hole guys, I’m just saying they don’t have the mental, you know...” MAHER: “There was a little more [to it].” “I read that when he died, of course lots of places put his greatest hits...worst hits, worst things.” “And then somebody else printed something and this is what always happens with the media like I never trust it because you never get the full story, where like each one was put in with the full context.” “It was never quite as bad as they said.” CROSS: “I mean, context is everything, right?” MAHER: “It is. I’m just saying it was easy to pull from his quote bed and find stuff that I certainly don’t agree with even in the context, but it wasn’t quite what...it wasn’t quite what you were saying there.”

Bill Maher immediately tried to cast doubt on the Iran deal, claiming he’s “heard it so many times before.” The problem for Maher was that the man leading the negotiations, JD Vance, was sitting right across from him to shut it down in real time. Vance said America wins either way — whether they make the final deal or not. MAHER: “You came out of these meetings, I heard sort of the same thing I’ve heard, a lot of talk about progress and that. I've heard it so many times before. Why is this different, why isn't it bullsh*t this time?” VANCE: “Well...the most important thing Bill is that the people who judge whether the oil is actually flowing, they judge this as success.” “If you look at oil right now, it’s back down to $73 a barrel, got up to $126 a barrel. There's a signal that something real is going on here.” “I think the second, Bill, is whether we make the final deal...then great. If we don't make the final deal, their nuclear program is still destroyed, they are still much weaker as a country so my attitude is, America wins either way.” “But I do think that what the president has done is asked us to do something that frankly nobody in 47 years of dealing with the Iranians has done, which is offer them an opportunity to fundamentally transform how they behave with the West.” “They've been the largest state sponsor of terrorism basically since they began as a nation or at least as an Islamic republic 47 years ago.” “He’s saying, look, if they are willing to change, we are willing to change too. If they are not willing to change, we still fundamentally have all the cards and I think that's a good place for us to be.”

Bill Maher confronts a college president over how liberal professors have turned Israel and Western civilization into slurs on campus. He reminded him that Western civilization gave everyone who is a progressive "the things they should be most proud of." The president pushed back and said: No, college professors are totally teaching Western civilization = good. Maher didn’t believe him. Bill Maher: “Since I have been covering news and especially the Middle East, even before that, Israel was known as an ‘outpost of Western civilization.’” Michael Roth: “Yes, it was.” Maher: “And that’s what it was called. That was always a good thing. Now, I don’t think it is. I did an editorial here one night talking about that. The Western civilization, they talk about it like it’s a bad thing. Instead of saying Western civilization is what gave everyone who is a progressive the things they should be most proud of.” Roth: “And I think that a lot of our students learn just that in class.” Maher: “The professors are teaching that message? I think they’re learning it from my show. I don’t think the professors are teaching. I really don’t.” Roth: “I think they are learning it from your show, of course. But the professors watch your show too. Maybe even more often than an 18-year-old.” Maher: “Do you think I could come on campus and speak and be welcomed?” Roth: “Welcomed, maybe not, but certainly—” Maher: “Really?” Roth: “No, but certainly given a hearing.” Maher: “I shouldn’t be welcomed? Someone who twice gave the Democrats a million dollars- that’s not enough credentials to come on and be welcomed?” Roth: “Well, if you came to Wesleyan with a million dollars, I would welcome you with open arms.” Maher: “Okay. Right. Well, I’m not going to be doing that.” A 2018 National Association of Scholars study of 51 top-ranked liberal arts colleges found faculty Democrats outnumber Republicans 10.4 to 1. At 39% of those schools, there was NOT A SINGLE registered Republican among full-time professors.
