Input capture, weirdly. macOS hit-tests clicks against rendered alpha so on a transparent overlay, empty-space clicks fall through to the app behind. Had to give the layer a 1%-alpha backing so it'd catch events. Overlay rendering was the easy part. Let's do it 🙌

Nice 🙌 That's actually a lot more work than it sounds. Funny enough, I ran into similar hit-testing/event-capture issues while building The overlay itself was straightforward, but getting input behavior to feel right across edge cases was where most of the effort went 😅
