Why should our political agenda be set by forces that are inimical to Bharat? Why should our agenda be influenced by our enemies? Why should we fight amongst ourselves? Let us not look for enemies within. I appeal to everyone in the political spectrum, please have mutual respect. Please don't trade unbecoming language on television or otherwise against the leadership of one party or the other. This culture is not our civilizational essence. We have to be careful with our language. If political dialogue takes place at a higher level if leaders mingle more frequently, they have greater discourse among themselves. People have become so full of themselves, so heavy, that if they pass by places and they don’t leave fear in their wake, do you know how a hurricane goes? If they don’t leave fear in their wake then it becomes a problem. They look back to check if they left a storm in their wake or if people had turned up in big numbers to praise them. This is definitely a bad habit. We have said many times that it should stop but I repeat it today and it should stop. If you want to feel important, I am not against you if that is who you are, but it should start with fulfilling your duties first. After you have completed your responsibilities, if you still feel important, I will leave you alone, it will not offend me, only that you are the one who will have to bear the consequences. Ten years in jail, a Rs 10 crore fine, whatever penalty they decide, that is up to them. But this is already too late. Punishment comes after the government has failed, after paper leaks have already occurred. What we need is a system where we prevent paper leaks, not punish people after the crime has happened. That was the whole thrust of my message...If you look at the record of fast-track courts in our country today, the existing fast-track courts are already under heavy burden. Last year, they registered 1.44 lakh cases and disposed of only 66,000. The pending cases in existing fast-track courts created by this government are over two and a half lakh. Unless the government also creates additional judges, additional courtrooms, and appoints additional prosecutors? Today, there was a fast-track case, and the CBI prosecutor did not even appear. Now, if this is the way you are going to proceed, you will not achieve the kind of results you are promising in this Bill...When 21 students have committed suicide, these are parents who invested all their hopes in their children and have been left shattered...These are the dreams of the future of our country being shattered. How can we ever take this lightly? Passing a law to punish people is not enough. Let us try to ensure that this never happens again..."

On that day, Piyush decided that this shouldn't happen to any other Indian! Piyush filed a petition on the Supreme Court to create a “Good Samaritan Law”. After getting opposition for several years, India finally announced its first ever “Good Samaritan Law” in 2016! Now Indians can freely help road accident victims without any fear of harassment by police or court. Piyush has also trained thousands of police officers to respond to emergency, and has built a team of 100s of people to improve signage in Indian roads. His work has enabled 58% death reduction in the Mumbai-Pune expressway! He has now adopted 100s of highways to make them safer. The number 1 cause of death for Indians aged between 15 and 49 is not diabetes or cancer. It’s Road Accidents! But there is one Indian who has spent the last 17 years fighting against road accidents. Meet Piyush Tewari! On April 5th, 2007, Piyush’s 17-year old cousin Shivam met with an accident. For 45 minutes, Shivam lied on the road asking for help, but no one called the ambulance or police and unfortunately Shivam passed away. On that day, Piyush decided that this shouldn't happen to any other Indian! Piyush filed a petition on the Supreme Court to create a “Good Samaritan Law”. After getting opposition for several years, India finally announced its first ever “Good Samaritan Law” in 2016! Now Indians can freely help road accident victims without any fear of harassment by police or court. Piyush has also trained thousands of police officers to respond to emergency, and has built a team of 100s of people to improve signage in Indian roads. His work has enabled 58% death reduction in the Mumbai-Pune expressway! He has now adopted 100s of highways to make them safer. I love that the running backs are communicating about the current state of their pay scale, but I hope it’s not just sports bitching. In order to force any change in their current predicament they need to be fearless, daring, but most of all unselfish. Executives, & ownership always bet on big bank taking little bank. They don’t expect players to sacrifice for one another or stick together, but this is the time to prove them wrong. Every running back should decide to sit in whenever tagged. If you are asked to play under the tag you should sign it, go into the building & miraculously be banged up on game day. You should never suit up, never dress out, never put yourself at risk, but collect every penny of your money. It doesn’t work if only one guy buys in! It’s has to be every single running back!

SUPREME COMEDY In 2005, the Chief Information Commissioner asked the Supreme Court to declare the assets of its judges. The Supreme Court got angry. "We don't listen to orders. We give orders." The Supreme Court appealed to the Delhi High Court against the order of the Chief Information Commissioner. But the Delhi High Court said, "You have to release the information." So the Supreme Court appealed the decision of the Delhi High Court to a 2-judge bench of the Delhi High Court. The 2-judge bench of the Delhi High Court referred the matter back to the Supreme Court, saying this is your matter, you decide. Now the Supreme Court became the judge, jury and executioner in its own case. Cricket bookies would kill to have such a fixed match. A single-judge bench of the Supreme Court took up the matter and said a 3-judge bench should decide the case. The 3-judge bench of the Supreme Court sat on the case for 8 long years and arrived at a verdict - the matter should be looked at by a 5-judge bench of the Supreme Court. Finally in 2019, the 5-judge bench of the Supreme Court gave its verdict. It did not say that Supreme Court judges should declare their assets. It merely said the Supreme Court should release any information it had. So basically if a judge does not declare his assets, then there is nothing to declare. Comedy, yes. Funny, no.
