This is absolutely appalling, and something needs to happen... ExxonMobil posted a $14.5 Billion profit for the 2nd quarter, doubling from the 2nd quarter last year. Chevron posted $12.1 Billion, its highest ever quarterly. Shell posted $9.8 Billion, which also more than doubled from 2nd quarter last year.... So,...

The ignorance in this post is appalling. I noticed you didn’t share the profit as a percent of revenue. Compare that to Microsoft, google, apple, not even close. Now try to understand what they provide and how much of what they do is highly regulated. This type of post reveals a complete lack of knowledge of the energy industry. “Gouging” is a political talking point when politicians make painfully stupid decisions and they have to face the consequences.

Profilbild von Andrew the Millwright

The profit is because, while the USA is energy independent, many other nations are not. So when they run low on oil they bid higher prices for the oil that is on the market. If an American refinery doesn’t outbid them the oil goes to that foreign country. This results in higher prices…and…higher profits.

Why have have a problem with profits: the shareholders, and many who have Exxon in their retirement portfolios are winning making their retirement accessible. Lastly, when does a company get to recover its bets in investments such as multibillion dollar rigs, specialized engineering R&D? None of that is inexpensive or free. Capping incentives doesn’t lead to good economic performance.

Wait, but it’s all about “supply & demand”, right? Or is it about “market manipulation”🤔 Because if they have record profits and the pump price increase is related to supply price increases- then there wouldn’t be record profits…wouldn’t the profits then be proportional to cost of supply?

Google just reported $99 billion in profits it never actually received. Alphabet posted net income of $112.1 billion for a single quarter. Earnings per share came in at $9.11 against a Wall Street estimate of $2.87. That is one of the largest profit quarters any company has ever printed. Yet the stock fell about 7% the same day. When people read past the headline and opened the earnings release, they found the reason sitting in one footnote... $99 billion of that profit came from a line called other income. Alphabet describes it as "primarily the result of net unrealized gains on our equity securities." So Google did not sell anything. It marked up shares it already owned and ran the increase through its income statement. That single line added $77.1 billion to net income after tax. It accounted for $6.26 of the $9.11 in earnings per share. Strip it out and adjusted earnings per share were $2.85. Analysts wanted $2.89. The ACTUAL business missed. Now here is what makes this insane: Most of that $99 billion came from two holdings, SpaceX and Anthropic. SpaceX went public on June 12 at roughly $1.77 trillion, up from about $400 billion a year earlier. Alphabet's stake is worth $94.1 billion, and roughly $80 billion of it sits under sale restrictions. Anthropic went from a $350 billion valuation to $965 billion inside the same quarter. Alphabet's private company holdings were worth about $124.3 billion on June 30, and the vast majority of that is Anthropic. Google cannot sell either position right now. Now trace where that valuation came from: Google started putting money into Anthropic in 2023. A $300 million bet has grown into a $13.3 billion position with commitments of up to $30 billion more. Anthropic committed to buying at least five gigawatts of computing capacity from Google Cloud. Google Cloud revenue then grew 82% to about $24.8 billion, the strongest quarter that business has ever had. That growth is part of the story the market uses to price both companies. And when Anthropic's valuation jumped, Google booked the jump as its OWN profit. Google is the investor, the supplier, and the party deciding what the asset is worth. A tax and accounting consultant named Robert Willens flagged this back in April, pointing out that Alphabet is able to influence the value of one of its own assets. And Alphabet's free cash flow for the quarter was negative $5.9 billion. That is the first negative quarter since Google went public in August 2004. Capital spending hit $44.9 billion. Operating cash flow was $39.1 billion. Capex now eats about 37.5% of every dollar of revenue, the highest share in the company's public life. To fund it, Alphabet has taken on roughly $100 billion of debt this year and raised about $85 billion in a June share sale, its first in more than two decades. This is a company that spent years buying its own stock back. What happens next: Alphabet raised 2026 capital spending guidance to between $195 billion and $205 billion, the second raise in three months. The finance chief told analysts 2027 spending will rise significantly. The company also disclosed $811 billion in contracted future spending commitments as of June, up nearly $500 billion from March. Those commitments are signed contracts that get paid in cash. The profit is an estimate of what a private company might be worth on a given day. Estimates move in both directions. If Anthropic or SpaceX gets repriced downward, the same line that produced the biggest quarter in Google's history runs backwards, and this quarter produced no free cash flow to absorb it. Meta, Microsoft and Amazon are all carrying their own private AI stakes into their own earnings reports. Watch how much of their profit they actually collected in cash...

WOAH 🚨 Pay attention to this American pharmacist exposing that some cheap, very effective drugs, HAVE BEEN BANNED form being prescribed because they’re too cheap So instead of the cheap option, drugs that cost $1,000+ are allowed for certain treatments (INSANE) “The most insane examples of why drugs cost so much is a drug called Brenzavvy. You almost certainly haven't heard of it, but you've probably heard of similar drugs like Jardiance or Farxiga. The reason you haven't heard of Brenzavvy, though, is because no insurance companies will cover it. Most doctors won't prescribe it, and most wholesalers won't even carry it. When I tell you why our entire healthcare industry is turning its back on this proven drug in one of the most critical classes in existence, you are going to be furious. They are shunning Brenzavvy because it's too cheap. I'm not being hyperbolic or sensational. I mean it literally. At my pharmacy, Brenzavvy costs $60 bucks. When they took that price to the pharmacy benefits managers, or PBMs, that's the people in charge of deciding what's covered on your insurance, they all said no, because Brenzavvy can't do a rebate at a price that low. Farxiga and Jardiance, the other Drugs in the SLGT 2 class with Brenzavvy, cost insurance payers $1000 bucks each prescription up front. Then they get a big, probably like 40% rebate later. So that's a $400 rebate, and that is a huge selling point for the PBMs to prove how important they are. The PBMs get a piece of that rebate, and they get a percentage of the final price. An HHS report from last year said that the PBMs get 23% on average for for brand meds. After the rebate, Farxiga and Jardiance still cost $600. 23% of that is $138 for the middleman. Those drugs get dispensed 8 million times a year, which means the total they make in a year off of those two drugs is $1.1 billion. They don't make the drug, they don't prescribe it, they don't dispense it, they don't sell it. They only have to do one thing to make that money. Keep Brenzavvy off their list. If they let in a drug that costs 1/10 of the price and doesn't pay rebate, they literally lose a billion dollars a year. To me, that's the clearest example of why we will never get affordable health care in America. As long as we have PBMs involved, they can't afford to save you money.“ So while this might not be an outright ban, meaning illegal to create, for all purposes it is a ban. Because if the insurance companies won’t cover it, their doctors won’t prescribe it and nearly all wholesalers won’t carry it, that means the insurances companies and PBMs are effectively banning medication in America so they can make maximum profits. Billions a year on a single Medicine, when there are much cheaper options available for the customer This is organized crime. This is racketeering

This is how I see left wing Scousers - What irritates me more than anything about them is they have the arrogance to tell people on a daily basis “Scousers are left wing” and call everyone a Tory or a wool who disagrees with them. Like they can speak for all of us. Like only they love this city and we don’t. Let me tell you something about these gang of gobshites. If you ever want to at what multiculturalism does to a city. Look at London. I have always wanted multiculturalism to work. But it’s hard to ignore the damage it does. It is ok im small manageable numbers like we have always had. But when it grows out of control you get….. London. These gang of shithouses who love Liverpool more than anyone and who are more Scouse than anyone and speak for all of us are literally advocating for Liverpool to be slowly transformed into a microcosm of the hellhole that is our capital. They are actively pushing for it. Most of them don’t even have children themselves. And that’s the world they want your children to grow up in. A replica of London in every major city. That’s how much they care about Liverpool. They want it to become the next London. If everything was all sweet and rosey down there I could understand their logic. But it isn’t. And over my dead body I will stand silent while these traitors enable our government to destroy the culture snd good harmony of our city. Absolutely disgusting. They do not speak for us. Even though they think that they can and often try to. Im going to start sharing the odd video of what is happening down in our capital so you can see what they are trying to do to our city. So we can all see the world they are pushing for. “Liverpool is a tolerant city” they always say which is true. But at the same time. We aren’t dickheads. And there is a limit to how nice we are. And this is the last city yiu want to piss off. Because if you piss us off, we bite back harder than anyone. When the Revolution begins. It will be this city that starts it. The left wingers think that because they are a gang of pushovers that the rest of us are too. Think again!

Iran Won't Abandon Uranium: $150–200B War + Global Economic Fallout In the 12-day war of June 2025, Israel's daily operational cost was $725 million, covering mainly air sorties, fuel, and mobilization. The total direct costs for the US and Israel ranged from $22–30 billion, with an average daily cost of about $2 billion when including all factors: military operations, air defense, physical damage, compensation, and interceptors. In that conflict, Iran's missile capacity to inflict damage was limited. A new confrontation today would also involve naval forces and a vastly larger array of missiles, thousands of short-range ones that Iran certainly possesses. Based on the numbers from the 12-day war, we can estimate that each day of operations now would cost $3-4 billion or more, especially considering that Iran has learned lessons from the previous war and is better prepared. In 20 days of war, the figure could approach $100 billion. But the costs don't stop there. If we take the minimum damage to a single base (like Al Udeid in Qatar), which ranged from $500 million to $1.5 billion, a massive, coordinated, and saturating Iranian attack on multiple US bases in the Gulf would cause astronomical damage. We're talking about $80–100 billion in damage to US bases in the region alone. These figures are estimates drawn from think tank analyses (CSIS, JINSA, RAND) on Gulf base vulnerabilities and historical repair costs after attacks. That alone would push a 20-day war toward $150–200 billion. And remember: any prolonged escalation or impact on oil and gas, such as closure of the Strait of Hormuz, would multiply these figures exponentially. Iran is in a comfortable position in the sense that it possesses the weapons to impose high costs in the event of a war, and, unlike June 2025, they are certain they will not be caught by surprise. It will be a hard war and it will not be brief. Iran will not kneel to Israel and the US because that would be the end of the entire political project built so far. The situation is complex and American forces are still insufficient for a victory. Given all this, I still don't see Iran easily relinquishing its uranium. For an interventionist power like Iran, that would feel like castration; it would only yield under massive Western concessions that could be framed as a victory, something I don't expect to happen.

VP VANCE PREDICTED: PEOPLE ARE GOING TO GET ANGRY, AND RIGHTFULLY SO "This stuff we can and we should prosecute, and I'm just telling you, this is going to be a real problem, and the people are going to get really pissed at Senate Republicans if we don't have the U.S. attorneys on the ground to actually achieve justice.
