This is how they tell them to call people, including the CEO and Chairman, at the training school. Some of us were opposed to it, but they would tell us that it is the culture. Probably Tony was not aware. Such orientation should be deleted from the training books.

These GenZs are uncouth, uncultured and internet trained zombies, main reason why that dimwitted packaged fraud aberration and pathological liar could have such a large support base going into the 2023 elections. Just imagine the effrontery? Ọmọkọmọ èkejì ajá.

If you do a check, she's probably one of these Gen Z obidients. Are these the ones to make an informed decision on who to take Nigeria to the next level? Chei! 😂😂

See the way the girl disgrace her family na waooo Awon omo tiwon ko sugbon ti ko gba eko

I can bet it, this girl is from igbo land. Nothing anybody will tell me.

She failed before she even started.

A rat! They want to be forming western culture that doesn't work in Africa. That is rude.

Tony lol🤣 to someone who is old enough to be your father. Primary Agent of socialisation have failed in this generation.

There should be cutesy even if it the culture of the organization to call everyone by name she should have allowed Elumelu to correct her not the other way around .

Obi has told GenZ to call him Peter when he become President, (he can never be). He said, your Excellence is not needed with his name, just call me Peter and all the students in Nigeria will have his phone number, and he will pick up nobody's call. Obidients movements is the reason for this if, you ask me.

What happened to Good day sir or Good morning sir even if na there company policy….The name supposed heavy for her mouth…

Stupid fool. Gen Z madness. If am her employer I will sack her . You can imagine she's even scared to say that . She just wanted to test the waters. Glad Mr. Elumelu puts her in her place. Someone he could have given birth to.

Werey still repeat herself with even more confidence. Spoil child 😂

GenZ and their lack to discretion sha. Even if Mr Elumelu asked you to call him by name, you shouldn't do so in a corporate gathering. Haba!

Very stupid breed by a set of foolish parents 🤦🏾

In the previous place I worked, the company's policy was call everyone by their first name, even CEOs and GMDs. To their faces, I don't even use their names. I use sir. The thing heavy me for mouth, make I dey call 45-50 year old people name?! Nahh.

Dead generation. Awon omo oloriburuku. Naso my nephew, dey call me how far baba, a bouy I am ×2 of his age.

Na so she dey address your father and mother ? This people sha.....

"I am not those people" 😆😁😮 mi n 'se egbe 'e

There's nothing disrespectful. His name is Tony. People address the prime minister of England by their first name. Is he the first to be CEO or a billionaire? You people were expecting her to say chief, sir, Dr, ...... or kneel down on the floor 😂

The irony is priceless: Tony Elumelu championed calling people by their first names in our STB, UBA days, yet here he is correcting a Gen Z girl for calling him “Tony.” Perhaps Gen Z has taken the concept a little too far, too literally. Would you call your Dad's agemate name?

Tony elumelu f up sha, he shouldn't have let her continue with the question a very mumu child

Tony is lying. They introduced this useless culture into Nigeria when his bank STB - Standard Trust Bank which took over UBA, Gtbank, Zenith.. came into Nigeria scene. Asking their staffs to be calling them by their name. Nonsense!

A Yoruba girl, even if she schooled overseas won't behave with such bad manners

This is how my niece my senior brother raised from nursery to higher institutions wants to thanks him after her graduation by addressing him as uncle, we are still waiting for her back home to say it again to our face

Oyinbo will attach Mr or Ms to your name once they realize you are an elderly person. They actually have respect.

God knows I won't be taking her question again. Arindin omo.

The HR must have introduced them to the company hierarchy, and Mr TOE as the Chairman so why calling him "Tony." That's disrespectful.

Even in "the abroad" y'all be trying so hard to copy, it is bad form to assume first name basis with someone you're not very familiar with, not to talk of the boss of your boss. What happened to "Mr So-and-so" especially in a formal setting?

@lollylarry1 @mamatii001 make una see wetin we see ooo 😅😅😅

I love how he gave it to her immediately! Don't come here disrespecting me with that nonsense...

One of the reasons I dislike western culture. Too disrespectful and non cultural. I'm glad Mr. Elumelu change the narrative.

Ogun go kill this little girl who came out to misrepresent her family out here

Mr Chairman, used style style shenk her, reason why I somehow respect what the civil service is doing, they're keeping up with that core African culture, like the courtesy standing up while greeting a superior, I hope they still keep up with it, if it's jettisoned one day...haa! all these Genz baddies go abuse am

@kellykayode1 Ómó aiye awon omo yi ti Baja oo, what nonsense is this my god
