Happens regularly in the NFL. A lot of the time because the runner starts celebrating early and drops the ball as he’s crossing the line
Not with the other team breaking away and scoring at the other end

Similar situation in college football
It has happened before tbf and the bunker missed a dropped ball when the lad had nobody near him yesterday too.
What a miss like that and then a full length breakaway for a try the other end with the last set of the half ? I haven’t seen anything like it and the commentators hadn’t either .. seem loads drop the ball but usually in wet weather , but that passage was insane .

I’m sure Wests had a game a few years back in Golden Point where play carried on, they went up the other end and scored.
