Imagine being some guy trying to enjoy solulitude in nature, and people assume you're a would-be killer and add eerie music when you come into frame.

He followed you? Back to the parking lot? Where everyone parks? Crazy.

The dude probably made a TikTok claiming that 3 women were stalking him while he was on a hike. His friend luckily walked up as they were getting near him.

Translation. There was another man hiking on the same trail as us. AND WE SURVIVED!

It is NOT "absolutely terrifying". Most likely scenario - the guy went off trail to take a quick wee, and was just returning. Not uncommon. That said, the message of the video IS valid. Women on trails need to travel in groups, and each should carry some kind of distance weapon.
