This volume of food waste means the HVAC system maintaining the temp-controlled food went out, and the food went out of temperature and was unsafe to sell.

They might be expired

& they will literally call the cops on you for this, how sad

If the food can't be sold anymore because of freezers malfunctioning but they're still good and not spoiled yet, why the hell are they not donating it to homeless shelters and orphanages? All that good food wasted in the trash is sick. Just tell them they need to freeze asap and consume fast.
