@MimiSchmoo Save the zygote, starve the child. It’s the lazy person’s way to pretend to be pious.

@MimiSchmoo 💯👌🏻

Bro just schooled that man in a 2 minutes class😅

💯😅

Abortion wasn’t a religious issue until the ‘70s when republicans realized they were losing the moral high ground over their policies.

Whether religious or not, forcing someone to carry a pregnancy that could kill them isn’t compassionate. The personhood debate existed long before the 70s it’s about balancing rights, not just partisan history

Not sure what this has to do with my tweet, but OK.

He made some good points.. but the pro-lifers will still argue.. and before you know it they will bring their god stuff into it, as if any of that matters.

That’s what’s infuriating about this topic We shouldn’t even be debating this

@TheGenXTruther Not at all. Self righteous religious fanatics want to pass off their beliefs onto others. This country was founded on the premise of separation church issues from state issues. The abortion issue undermines the entire premise of the country.

@___TheGOOdWitch @TheGenXTruther The country was founded on the idea that the federal government should not interfere with states which already had official church affiliation. Separation of church and state appears nowhere in the founding documents.

@dilted @___TheGOOdWitch If it's freedom of religion, it's freedom FROM religion.

@dilted @___TheGOOdWitch Does freedom of speech mean I can prevent people I disagree with from talking?

@dilted @___TheGOOdWitch No sure what your point is.

What a retard. Life begins at conception. Life is sacred. Any position deviating from this is invalid and discarded.

The real dispute is whether biological life at that stage automatically equals full moral and legal personhood. That’s exactly what people disagree on.

You can disagree until you are blue in the face. It doesn't matter.

@angermeier_w @___TheGOOdWitch Your opinion is worthless to me.

@angermeier_w @___TheGOOdWitch Thank you, this is exactly how you deal with these idiots, life begins in conception, there is no further debate.

@_free_f0rever_ @angermeier_w @___TheGOOdWitch Nobody is claiming it doesn’t begin at conception. But personhood and sentience does not. Nor does the life of an embryo override the right to bodily autonomy.

@XDeliveryCats @angermeier_w @___TheGOOdWitch The embryo is someone else’s body. You do not have the authority to kill him/her. It is disgusting that you would even want to.

Great, so as a safeguard me, let's ban all abortions after 15 weeks that are not medically necessary. Because the number of people that would be impacted by that is apparently zero.

👌🏻

He's wrong on everything he just said.

God said he knew you before you were even concieved. It's spiritual. That's the part abortionist always miss.

Religious beliefs about the soul are personal and vary widely. Not everyone shares your interpretation, and we don’t base laws in a diverse society on one religious view. Many people of faith support abortion access, especially when a woman’s life is in danger. Bodily autonomy and medical decisions should stay between a woman and her doctor.

@white_winf29065 Absolutely. But this whole conversation sparks due to the discord regarding law, correct? Fact of the matter is that ANY religion should never have anything to do with law. Only moral interpretation, in which case, there are morals for maintaining the mother as well

@white_winf29065 Correct 👍

Abortion ends a human life. End of discussion.

This guy is full of shit. 6-7 percent of abortions happen after 15 weeks. Per Guttmacher institute, roughly 60,000+ abortions happen after 15 weeks annually, but only a fraction (likely thousands, not tens of thousands) are primarily for life-threatening maternal health or lethal fetal anomalies.

Even if only a fraction of the 6% after 15 weeks are for life-threatening reasons, those women still exist and deserve care. We don’t ban appendectomies or cancer treatments because they’re ‘rare.’ Late abortions happen for serious medical reasons, fetal anomalies, or when earlier access was blocked. Access to healthcare shouldn’t have arbitrary cutoffs that endanger lives.

@phil86537482 another interesting statistic, 100% of abortions are none of your god damned business

Good memes

💯

I’m stealing em all

Yes. I want you to. 😈💕

Science does NOT define a child as only applying outside the womb. In fact, fetus comes from the Latin meaning, offspring. Yelling and gish galloping isn't an argument, which is exactly what he's doing. He's misrepresenting science and then claims that people don't understand it.

Correct science shows a fetus is biologically human and alive no one denies that. But science also shows it lacks sentience, consciousness, and viability early on. ‘Offspring’ is just a biological term it doesn’t automatically grant full moral/legal personhood that overrides the pregnant person’s rights. That’s philosophy and ethics, not pure science.

75% of abortions are done by brownoids. Maybe the anti abortionists should start bitching about the shitty trash morals of n!ggrz

Wait, I thought men weren't allowed an opinion on abortion? You can spin it until you're blue in the face, but it won't change the fact that abortion is the murder of a baby. Women who do it are evil.

And for the "trust the science people" Something this idiot misquotes... A large survey of 5,502–5,577 biologists from 1,058 academic institutions worldwide found ~95–96% affirmed that a human's life begins at fertilization. The end.

The real debate is personhood: when does that biological life gain full moral and legal rights equal to the pregnant person? 95% of biologists affirming basic biology doesn’t settle bodily autonomy or when the state can force someone to sustain another life with their own body.

Semantics to make you feel better if you choose to use abortion as birth control.

@___TheGOOdWitch its a philosophical &/or religious debate which should not be legislated.

I hope there will be a day in this country that it is illegal to kill your unborn child. Everywhere. But that day is not now and I don't even know where that is even being legislated now. Pretending that a fetus is somehow not a child is willful ignorance. Science says it is and everyone knows it is, people just don't want to take responsibility for their actions that's the bottom line.

BS why is it the liberals always deny science wall arguing that other people deny science?

Science shows gradual development of sentience, viability, and consciousness. ‘Denying science’ is pretending a 8-week embryo has the same moral status as a born person, ignoring the woman’s full humanity and rights.

He made three statistical claims in the video. All three are provably false.

It’s amazing that people actually defend the murder of a baby in the womb.

A fetus in early stages isn’t a ‘baby’ with full personhood in the same legal/moral sense. The real question is whether it automatically has more rights over a woman’s body than she does even in cases where her life or health is at risk. Most people say no.

By definition of fetus, it literally is a baby/child

Screaming louder doesn't make you right. If a guy started screaming at me, I would just walk away. I know a person like this. Narcissists don't like a difference of opinion and start yelling over you. If I'm in a car with this person, I just get quiet & look out the window.

I agree screaming or talking over people doesn’t strengthen an argument. Civil discussion is much better, even when we disagree strongly.

But he’s wrong…. Science says life begins at conception. Whole new structure of dna. Just because we call it a different word “fetus” which definitionally is “an unborn offspring of a mammal” so in this case a human, doesn’t mean it doesn’t have value. Still a human life.

Let me Bulldozer MY definition over YOUR definition because I am louder.

Any unborn or pre-born human has the opportunity to develop into a functioning person by aborting them you are cutting off their life and stopping that development. It does not matter what stage of life, what size they are, ability to feel pain, consciousness, viability, etc. If you take action to stop that baby from developing then you are killing it and it’s personhood. Without your action that baby will develop into a perfectly unique human being. That’s the reason why it’s murder

Respectfully, I understand your view the potential for a unique human life is meaningful. However, I see it differently. A developing fetus has biological potential, but personhood and full moral rights develop gradually along with viability, sentience, and consciousness. Forcing a woman to carry a pregnancy that risks her health or life prioritizes that potential over her existing, fully realized personhood and bodily autonomy. That’s why I believe these decisions should remain healthcare choices between a woman and her doctor, not politicians or strangers.

Fairs, I just believe that if someone else takes an action (in a perfectly healthy pregnancy scenario) and that action is the only thing preventing a preborn child from being birthed then collectively we should view that action as morbid. Sentience, viability, and consciousness do not define personhood. They are steps in our human journey no different than any developmental stages after birth. Any biologist will tell you that a human zygote is considered to be an alive organism from conception. We should treat it as such

I appreciate you sharing your perspective.

Appreciate the civil discourse, that’s how it’s supposed to be 🤝

"science" also said that african slaves were worth 3/5 of a person. Defending dehumanization rituals is pretty weird no matter how you cut it

The guy is wrong. How is this amazing to watch?

Having an abortion at any point is damaging to a woman’s reputation. And at no point should we normalize abortion as a means of birth control. Abortion ends a life, damages the parents, enables irresponsible behavior, and is a major decision that has consequences you are unwilling to admit.

it’s a deeply personal medical decision and health care

Then why are they trying to legalize late term abortion if it only happens 1% of the time and is a medical necessity?

That 1% represents thousands of real women every year facing life-threatening complications ….. ‘rare’ doesn’t mean ‘never’ or ‘unimportant.’

There is no fact that will change the opinion of a conservative.

Abortion = killing human life. Full stop. Don’t get caught up in the semantics with words like “baby” or “child”. The pro choice guy here is right about the unborn not being a “child”, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s still a human life.

It’s a fetus with potential to be born as human

THEY'RE ALL HYPOCRITES. THE BIBLE SAYS YOU DON'T HAVE LIFE UNTIL GOD BREATHES A SOUL INTO YOU. NO BREATH, NO LIFE. THEY TAKE AWAY FOOD, HEALTHCARE, PARENTS FROM LIVING, BREATHING CHILDREN AND SEXUALLY MOLEST THEM. NO PROBLEM, BUT LET A WOMAN CONTROL HER OWN BODY, OH NO!!!

“The science” informs us that life begins to conception. Whether you call a fetus, a zygote, or a baby… You’re still killing a human life.

False bravado is normally associated with being loud and wild hand movement. It's science.
