I have been talking about this massacre for years. I am glad people are finally waking up to it.

The video is largely historically accurate in its core claims**, drawing from primary sources and supported by archaeology, though with the usual caveats of ancient chronicles (exaggerated numbers and polemical bias). The events of 614 AD during the Sassanid Persian conquest of Jerusalem are well-attested. Persian forces under Shahrbaraz captured the city amid the Byzantine–Sassanid War of 602–628. Local Jews (and Jewish fighters from Galilee and elsewhere, numbering in the thousands according to sources) allied with the Persians against Byzantine Christian rule, which had restricted and sometimes persecuted them. Temporary Jewish administration of the city under figures such as Nehemiah ben Hushiel is recorded in sources like Sebeos. The Mamilla Pool massacre is specifically described by the near-contemporary Christian monk Strategius (also called Antiochus Strategos) of Mar Saba, who presents an account based on eyewitness or contemporary testimony: Jews ransomed Christian prisoners from the Persian soldiers and slaughtered them at the pool after they refused to convert and deny Christ, with the pool running with blood. He gives high casualty figures (tens of thousands citywide, with thousands specifically at Mamilla). Similar accounts appear in other Christian sources of the period. The video’s narration of the offer, refusal, purchase, and killing closely matches these reports. Archaeology provides independent corroboration of a large-scale massacre of Christians around this time and location. Israeli archaeologist Ronny Reich excavated a cave near Mamilla (work beginning around 1989–1992) containing a mass burial of hundreds to thousands of individuals. The remains, artifacts (including crosses and coins up to the reign of Phocas, 602–610), demographics (many relatively young people, higher proportion of females), and context identify them as the Christian population of Jerusalem from the early 7th century. Reich and others explicitly linked this to the 614 events described by Strategius. Exact death tolls in the literary sources are almost certainly inflated (common in ancient and medieval accounts), but the existence of a major massacre and mass burial is not in serious dispute. The broader context in the video—the taking of the True Cross and other relics to Persia, events at Tyre, Persian advances into Egypt, the temporary nature of the Jewish-Persian alignment (Persians later restricted Jews and sided more with Christians by around 617), and Heraclius’s later recovery efforts—is also consistent with historical records of the war. **Caveats**: Strategius’s account is a Christian polemical source and exaggerates numbers and possibly the precise degree of Jewish versus Persian agency in the killings. Some modern scholars debate the scale of urban destruction claimed in the chronicles (archaeology does not always match the most dramatic literary descriptions of total ruin). The video presents the Christian chronicle perspective without heavy hedging, which is typical of popular historical retellings. This was a period of intense imperial and religious conflict with violence on multiple sides over centuries. In short, the video recounts a real, documented historical episode rather than invention or pure myth.

Why do Muslims hold the keys to the Christian holy site in Jerusalem? Why were Muslims chosen as protectors of this site that is sacred to Christians? Why is it still there?

Aftermath: The carnage left a deep historical scar; decades later, during the 638 CE Treaty of Jerusalem, Christian leadership explicitly demanded protections from the MUSLIM Caliph Omar against future violence associated with the aftermath of the 614 massacre.

People underestimate Judaic proselytizing in Late Antiquity. They converted people throughout the Roman Empire (from Spain to Egypt and Syria). Roman politicians warned about it (and so did Jewish rabbis). The idea that jews are Israelites/Hebrews is a myth.

Rumor says that San Deigo* or "Santiago Matamoros" (Saint James the Moor slayer) went to war against Islam (the Moors) in 644ad. *San Deigo on the west end & 1,950 miles east is Matamoros on the east end.

At the time of the Persian conquest and when Christianity seemed utterly defeated, the pagan Makkan Quraysh rejoice as the Prophet's monotheistic message seemed to go the same fate. Quran revealed verses that predicted the Rum victory soon, which drew further mocking. Came true.
